1. company泛指所有的公司
I'm leaving the company.
我要离开这家公司了。
Jake worked for a big company in New York.
Jake曾经在纽约一家大公司工作。
2. firm相当于small company
常见于比较小型的公司／商行，律师事务所／财务公司等
accounting firm/law firm等
The law firm is looking for partnership.
这家律所在找合伙人。
3. corporation相当于big company
跨国大公司／大企业
Peter is the new CEO of the corporation.
Peter是这家大公司的新CEO。
corporation前面也经常加major/big
