Mazda has so far kept its promise to release numerous crossovers over the next four years. The Mazda CX-60 2023, the most potent road-going vehicle to date among the automakers’ products, was one of them.
With a 2,870mm wheelbase, the Mazda CX-60 is 4,745mm long, 1,890mm wide, and 1,680mm height. The specified ground clearance is 175mm. Underneath, 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels are standard.
The CX-60 shares a lot of similarities with its crossover stablemates in terms of design. The chrome outline and straight-ahead slim headlights give the grille with vertical slats that distinguishable Mazda design. The lower lip has a clean appearance and lacks any plastic covering.
The sides and the back also have the same elegant polish. In contrast, you have taillights here that match the front headlights. The CX-60 is available in a wide range of colours, including Jet Black, Soul Red Crystal, Machine Grey, Platinum Quartz, Sonic Silver, and Rhodium White Premium.
The CX-60's interior is as luxurious as any Mazda can make it. Black Nappa leather is used within the cabin of the lesser variation, while tan Nappa leather with quilted leganu suede accents is used inside the cabin of the higher trim. Each variant's seats also coordinate with its interior details.
The wide armrest on the centre console, gearshift, and steering wheel are all covered in additional leather. Tan interior is matched with graphite trim and gunmetal accents, while the cabin with a lot of black has aluminium trim and silver accents.
Both of the two 3.3-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engines are available for the brand-new Mazda CX-60. One is driven by petrol, producing 280 horsepower between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm, while the other is powered by diesel, producing 251 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 550 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 2,400 rpm.
A 48V mild-hybrid system with a 0.33kWh lithium-ion battery is added to both powertrains to enhance performance and lower fuel consumption. Additionally, both engines are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission with an i-Activ AWD drivetrain that favours the back.
The vented disc brakes all around and the double wishbone and multi-link suspension systems in the front and back, respectively, are additional standard mechanical components. A 58-liter gasoline tank is also included with the CX-60.
