每日原则:管理者必须确保自己负责的领域运转有效
他们可以通过以下方式:(1)把员工管理好(如上所述);(2)“下沉”去做本不该自己做但下属做不好的工作;(3)把管理不好的领域提交给上级管理。第一个选择是最优的;第二个说明要对员工和设计做出改变;第三个选择是很艰难的,但有时是必要的。
They can do this by 1) managing others well, 2) job slipping down to do work they're not responsible for because others can't do their jobs well, or 3) escalating what they can't manage well. The first choice is optimal; the second signals that a change is needed in the people and the design; the third choice is harder still but mandatory.
