Citroen has a unique strategy of differentiating its car models to cater to individual market needs rather than presenting global models like many other automakers. The Citroen C3 Aircross 2023 is the ICE-powered B-SUV for India, South East Asia, and South America, which is different from the upcoming C3 Aircross for Europe and is available in five- and seven-seater configurations.
The Citroen C3 Aircross belongs to the B-SUV segment, like its European sibling, but is longer than the outgoing EU-spec C3 Aircross and the New C3 offered in India and South American markets. The New C3 Aircross has an SUV stance with features like split headlights, sculpted fenders, discreet plastic cladding, C-shaped taillights, a wraparound rear windshield, and a duo-tone livery.
The interior dashboard is derived from the New C3, with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. The cargo space has a capacity between 482-511 lt in a five-seater configuration, with the third row being removable.
Besides, the vehicle is based on a stretched version of the CMP architecture, with a non-electrified turbocharged 1.2-liter PureTech petrol engine producing 108 hp. The SUV will be initially produced in Brazil and India and launched in India, South America, and Indonesia between 2023 and 2024.
After all, the New C3 Aircross is the second of three new models aimed at international growing markets under Citroen's C-Cubed program between 2022 and 2024, with Stellantis hoping that 30% of Citroen's global vehicle sales will come from markets outside Europe by 2025.
