For 2023, one of KTM's most adaptable motorcycles has returned with a few modifications and a reasonable price. The KTM 390 Adventure 2023, which goes on sale in March, is a lightweight machine that is not only simple to ride but also more than capable of light off-road excursions if you so wish.
Serving for Off-road Racing
New for 2023 are aluminum spoked wheels fitted with Continental TKC70 all-terrain, tubeless tires. They have front and rear measurements of 19 inches and 17 inches, respectively. A striking orange and black color scheme is also added. According to KTM, the gasoline tank contains 3.8 gallons and has a range of about 400 km (248 miles). In the off-road mode of the 390 Adventure, you can entirely deactivate the rear wheel ABS while minimizing front wheel intervention. This vehicle also has cornering ABS. It also comes with KTM's Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) technology. Similar to the ABS, it is also lean-angle sensitive and has a millisecond response time, lowering engine output as necessary to maintain traction while disregarding wheel slip.
There are two locations for adjusting the windscreen. It is compact but effective in keeping the rider out of the wind. With a height of just under 33 inches, the lowest available seat height is very convenient. KTM asserts that the 390 Adventure's suspension is made up of best-in-class components thanks to their many years of development in difficult terrain. They have adjustable rebound damping and spring preload, and their front and rear travel distances are 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. A front 320 mm disc with a 4-piston radially mounted caliper and a rear 230 mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper handle braking duties. 379 pounds are the bike's wet weight.
Various Functions
The bike comes equipped with an engine guard and LED lights that are tiny in size and borrow their design from the bike's larger siblings. These features are included as standard equipment. For improved handling when standing up, the bike also has rear side panels that are somewhat wider than the seat and tank spoilers. The KTM 390 Adventure, like its larger siblings, the KTM 890 Adventure, features a cutting-edge 5 inch TFT display that instantly adjusts to changes in ambient lighting.
The bike's agile handling is remarkably composed and is made possible by a lightweight yet very stable trellis frame. The championship-winning KTM 450 RALLY adopted this strategy, which is made possible by the vehicle's 56.3-inch wheelbase and 63.5-degree steering head angle. The bike's ergonomics are what you would anticipate from an adventure bike. With an upright, carefree riding position, the rider triangle is natural and comfortable for all-day riding. Both the footpegs and the handlebars are broad. The latter has an off-road boot-compatible rubber top that can be removed for usage with street boots.
