The BMW R nine T, which made its public debut in 2013, was obviously influenced by the Bavarian brand's historic bikes but was still very distinct from anything the firm had ever built. The R9T was designed to be as modular and mod-friendly as possible in order to appeal to a younger, hipper riding demographic. The R nineT series has been produced in a broad variety of model versions, including a roadster, cafe racer, scrambler, and a R80G/S-themed version. It has been a resounding success for BMW Motorrad.
BMW begins by equipping the 2023 R nineT 100 Years Edition with the entire complement of rider assistance features, including three riding modes (Dynamic, Road, and Rain), enhanced ABS, traction control (acceleration and deceleration), cruise control, adaptive headlights, and LED lighting all around. A powered USB port and heated grips are creature pleasures.
In the earlier days of solvent-based paints before they were regulated, painting chromium was a simpler operation. On the chromed tank, Avus Black paint and white double-pinstriping are applied. The 4.5-gallon fuel tank is next given a numbered 100 Years BMW Motorrad tank insignia. The front fender's double-pinstriping in Avus Black matches it flawlessly, and the seat cover repeats the tank's luxury Classic Chrome/Avus Black color scheme.
The front engine cover, cylinder head covers, oil filler plug, seat brackets, adjustable hand and foot controls, footpegs, expansion tank covers, and bar-end mirrors are just a few of the milled aluminum goodies included in two Billet Pack Shadow packages from BMW's Option 719 line of high-end accessory parts. Oh, and those wire-spoked, black anodized wheels are from the Option 719 Classic line.
