自 2015 年首次亮相后，来自挪威的 Matoma 从一名在 Soundcloud 上自行发布音乐的 Bedroom 制作人演变成为电子音乐界最耀眼的艺人之一。曾经与著名歌手 Dua Lipa 和 Snoop Dogg 等人合作，至今他已积累了 20 亿的流量，数据惊人。

Hello MATOMA， Can you introduce yourself to ravers in China?

中国所有电子音乐爱好者你们好。我是 Matoma，我是一名DJ，我从 16 岁就开始创作音乐了。我今年 31 岁，5 月 29 日我将迎来 32 岁生日。我去过 100 多个国家。我在 60 个国家演奏过。我去过的最大舞台是在巴西，有 75000人来看我演出。我喜欢通过电子音乐传播爱。我希望你也喜欢我的音乐。

To all my beautiful ravers in China. I'm Matoma and I'm an international DJ that have made music now since I was 16. and I'm 31, I'm turning 32, 29th of may. and I've been traveling to 100 and something countries. I played in 60 countries. the biggest stage I played to was 75000 beautiful people in Brazil. and I just love spreading love through my electronic music. and I hope that you like my music too.

我们可以在你的音乐中听到很多种元素，比如 Tropical House、Electro House，甚至是 Future Bass 。你是如何在各种风格之间进行切换的？

We can hear many elements in your music, such as Tropical House, Electric House, and even Future Bass. How do you switch between different music styles?

对我来说音乐来源于激情，它必须发自内心。所以我创作音乐时需要灵感。我从人、文化和当下的生活中寻找灵感。灵感可能让我创作出 tropical 风格的音乐，或者 future house 风格，或者 future bass 风格，甚至是 Electronic 风格的音乐；我不知道，我只是喜欢创作各种风格的音乐；不只是展示我的声音，也是推动我自己进步，推动我的极限，推动我的品牌。所以你可以说我是一个多流派音乐人。

So for me, music is all about passion, it has to come from within. so when I create music it's all about the inspiration. it's soaking that inspiration from people, from cultures and from just living in the moment. and if that takes me to a tropical view or if it takes me to like a future house or a future bass or even like electronic; I don't know, I just love to make all type of different music; and push myself, push my limits, push my brand, not at least push the sound. so yeah I'm a multi-genre person or a multi-genre artist you can tell.

在你的大部分歌曲中都使用了很多的人声，你认为人声在电子音乐中的作用应该是什么？人声应该在一首音乐中的占据主导位置吗？

Many vocals are used in most of your songs. What do you think the role of vocals in electronic music should be? Should voice play a leading role in a piece of music?

对我来说，人声在电子音乐中非常重要。其他 DJ 是如何创作音乐的我不太好说。但对我来说，人声是一个主要元素；人声能唱出情感和共鸣，唱出感伤或戏谑，或者讲述一个故事。所以我总是围绕人声创作音乐。我总是会去听乡村音乐；我想知道如何让低音线与人声、节奏以及人声有关的元素更好地结合。所以人声非常重要，对我来说，创作围绕人声的音乐是我最重要的工作。

So for me vocals are so important in electronic music. I can't speak about other DJs and how they create music. but for me the vocal element is the main ingredients; in bringing out the emotions, bringing out the vibe and bringing out the sentimental, the funness, the storytelling. and I always make my tracks around the vocal. and I try to always listen to country melodies; I try to listen to how I can make that bass line fit with the vocal, the groove, the elements around the vocal. it's so important to have sound around the vocal, and for me that is the most essential.

你对近年来的电子音乐风格走向有什么预测吗？你认为未来什么电子音乐风格会很流行？

What style of electronic music do you think will be popular in the future?

我认为电子音乐会一直存在；它将一直影响文化；它永远是人们的心灵避风港。说实话，我认为 house 音乐是一种灵魂音乐，它能触摸到你的灵魂；然后将你带入这个充满情感、感觉和能量的音乐世界。所以我认为90 年代的house音乐是个经典，比如 80 年代、90 年代的芝加哥 house 音乐。我认为它们永远是经典，这种音乐风格将会一直存在下去。这就是我的想法。

So for me I think electronic music is always gonna be around; it's always gonna influence cultures; it's always gonna be place where people can just escape. and to be honest, I think as long as house music it's soulful, you have the connection of the soul; and you get dragged into this world of just like emotions, feelings, like energy. and yeah, I think like the 90s house, it's always kind of like the movement of that house that we started hearing from Chicago house back in the 80s, 90s. I think that will forever be classic and it will always come and go and come and go. so that's my thought on it.

在你自己的私人时间里，你更喜欢什么样或什么风格的音乐？

What is your favorite music style in your own time ?

除了电子音乐，我也喜欢古典音乐。在我还是个孩子的时候，我就一直用钢琴演奏古典音乐；我喜欢爱德华·格里格，我喜欢 19 世纪的浪漫民族主义时期；在那个时期，爱德华·格里格创作了最美最动人的音乐；那些美妙的旋律令人难以置信。如果你还没有听过爱德华·格里格的音乐，你应该去听听。特别是他的 A 小调协奏曲。

Besides of electronic music, classical music is my to go. and since I was a kid I've always played classical music on the piano; and I love Edvard Grieg, I love the national romantic period from the 1800 century; where he created the most beautiful and most emotional; and most just like yeah his melodies were just incredible. so if you haven't heard Edvard Grieg you should go check him out. and especially the A minor concert that's incredible.

你有喜欢的中国音乐吗？

Do you have any favorite Chinese music ？

说实话，我对中国音乐了解不多。但是我非常喜欢的一种中国乐器是中国长笛。中国长笛非常动听，长笛演奏的方式也令人难以置信。也许将来我会把这个元素融入我的音乐中。

To be honest, I don't know much about the Chinese music. but one instrument I really really love that comes from China is the family of the Chinese flute. it's just incredible and the way that you do your melodies in with the flute is incredible. so maybe one time in the future I will implement that element into my songs.

可不可以向我们透露一下你今后的新音乐发行计划？

Can you tell us something about your new music release plan in the future?

我正在制作的音乐中最令人兴奋的地方是；我想把一切我从小就喜欢的东西都融入我的音乐中，比如 house 音乐。还有非常非常震撼的人声，其中有女声，沙哑的嗓音充满深情。然后我试着把这些人声融入氛围中；再配上优美的旋律。是的，我想创作一些你从来没听过的东西。

Some utterly pumped about the music I'm making right now; and I'm just trying to blend everything from like my childhood years like listening to house music. and I'm talking about like those really really powerful vocals where you have females just like rasping and singing like really soulful. then I'm trying to just like implement like my sound to that whole vibe; putting beautiful melodies on it. and yeah try to create something that you haven't heard before.

你在中国粉丝众多，你有没有来到中国进行巡演的打算？

Do you have any plans to come to China for a tour ？

我一直有在中国巡演的计划。你需要预订我哦。

I always have plans touring in China. you just have to book me.

Question

在挪威极夜的时候，会不会有俱乐部7*24小时开放？

Will there be any nightclubs open 7 * 24 hours in Norway during the polar night?

在极夜期间，挪威不会有 24/7 全天候营业的酒吧。但说实话，我不知道极夜是什么。我们有北极光，从 11 月到 3 月，你随时都可以看到。但我没听说过极夜，也许它确实存在，但谁知道呢。但在奥斯陆没有北极熊。所以如果你来挪威；如果你想看北极熊，你必须去斯瓦尔巴群岛。

There will not be clubs opening up in Norway 24/7 during polar night. to be honest I don't know what polar night is. we have aurora borealis that you can see all the time from November to March. but polar night I haven't heard about, maybe it happens after all but who knows. but we don't have polar bears in Oslo. so if you are a Chinese person coming to Norway; you have to go up to Svalbard if you want to see polar bears.

因为短视频的火热，有很多音乐制作人与音乐制作团队，会只制作20秒左右的音乐，你怎么看待这个行为？

Because of the popularity of short videos, many music producers and teams will only produce music for about 20 seconds. What do you think about this?

我认为音乐应该发自内心。它应该来自灵魂，应该来自激情，应该来自灵感。去旅行、认识不同的人、感受不同的文化、聆听音乐、体验音乐；关于 TikTok上正在发生的事情， TikTok 上20 秒的音乐短视频；我的看法是，如果人们喜欢，那就可以去听。就我个人来说，我喜欢去酒吧，体验 DJ，深入感受音乐，听完整的音乐，听古典音乐。音乐是我的生命，而 TikTok 不是。这就是我的回答。

I think music should come from within. it should come from the soul, it should come from passion, it should come from inspiration. traveling, meeting people, feeling different cultures, listening to music, experiencing music; and the stuff that is going on TikTok right now with like TikTok famous and TikTok being like 20 second music; sure if people like that, go for it. me personally, I like to go to the clubs, experience DJs, go really deep, hearing like a complete set, listening to classical music. like music is my life and TikTok is not that. so that's my answer on that.

最后，可以给中国的 Raver 们一些祝福吗？

Can you give some blessings to Chinese Ravers？

我记得我和未婚妻在中国的时候，我们一起旅行，体验中国的文化；我想说我爱中国，我爱那里的食物，我爱那里的人民，我爱那里的文化。你们很勤劳，很谦虚，你们总是带着微笑迎接我们这些外国人。所以我要把我所有的爱和祝福都送给你们。

I remember when me and my fiance was in China and we traveled and we experienced the culture; and I have to say I love China, I love the food, I love the people, I love the culture. you're hard working, you're very humble, you always greet us foreigners with smiles and with gratitude. so I'm sending all my love and all my blessings towards you
