这部电影是对 1989 年蒙特利尔理工学院枪击案的戏剧改编，当时一名不稳定的厌恶女性者杀害了多名女性工科学生。影片于2009年2月在加拿大魁北克上映,并参加了2009戛纳电影节。影片荣获诸多大奖，包括9项加拿大吉尼奖，多伦多影评人协会最佳加拿大影片奖。

On the evening of Wednesday, March 29, in coordination with the Baturu Festival, the Shanghai American Center will screen the award-winning Canadian film “Polytechnique.” The film is a dramatization of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, during which several female engineering students were murdered by an unstable misogynist. After release in Quebec in February 2009, it was featured in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. It received numerous honors, including nine Genie Awards. The Toronto Film Critics Association awarded it the Best Canadian Film Prize.

本片导演是加拿大著名电影人丹尼斯·维伦纽瓦，他执导了《焦土之城》《边境杀手》《降临》《银翼杀手2049》《沙丘》等多部大片。

Film director and Canadian filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is internationally known for directing several critically acclaimed films, including Incendies (2010) , Sicario (2015) , Arrival (2016) , Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Dune (2021).

目前我们不要求参加活动的观众佩戴口罩，但如果戴口罩让您更安心，我们鼓励您这么做。参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满，您可能将不被允许进入，即使您已经报名。目前，我们只能保证到达的前80名观众入场。

Masks are not currently required to attend Shanghai American Center events, but audience members are encouraged to feel comfortable wearing them if they wish. Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come.  Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 80 guests at this time.

Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Shanghai American Center (ShAC). Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.

All belongings carried into the ShAC will be scanned during security screening. While guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs, portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.
