2023年全国两会正在进行中，超过200名来自香港和澳门特别行政区的代表和委员赴京履职。十三届全国政协副主席、香港特区前行政长官梁振英日前接受中国日报《连线》栏目采访，分享他对新一届政协委员的期望，也展望香港如何抓住机遇、进一步融入国家发展大局。
新一届全国政协委员积极履新
3月4日，全国政协十四届一次会议开幕，新一届全国政协委员首次亮相。有不少港区全国政协委员今年是首次履职，梁振英表示，新一届全国政协委员积极履新给他留下了深刻的印象。在赴北京前，就有新一届委员集体向他请教经验。
提及对他们的期望，梁振英指出新一届政协委员能力突出，也具有广泛的代表性。他相信他们可以发挥所长，为国家发展作出贡献。
All the National Committee members of CPPCC have been hand-picked. They are representative and very capable people. They have a wide range of expertise, and I'm sure they could contribute, not just to the work of CPPCC, but through the CPPCC to the entire country.
香港可以成为中国式现代化的“催化剂”
随着两会大幕开启，扎实推进中国式现代化（Chinese path to modernization）成为本届两会热议的话题。谈及香港在中国式现代化进程中的角色定位，梁振英表示，香港在实现中国式现代化进程中可以起到“催化剂”的作用，整合内地市场和海外市场的需求，助力全国经济与社会发展。

梁振英指出，香港是中国几百个城市中规模较小的一座城市，所以我们必须撬动香港作为生产要素以外的能力，使其成为全国经济活动和社会发展的“催化剂”。
Hong Kong is a well known global financial, trade, and professional services center. Hong Kong could play a very good catalytic function, acting as a catalyst. ...we must leverage the capabilities of Hong Kong, not just as a factor of production, but as a catalyst in the economic activities, also in the social development activities of the country.
为“一带一路”民心相通创造新机遇
今年是“一带一路”（Belt and Road Initiative）倡议提出十周年，今年的政府工作报告中也多次提到推进共建“一带一路”的相关内容。
梁振英强调，“一带一路”倡议不仅仅是经贸往来，民心相通更是“一带一路”合作的基础。香港可以利用自身区位优势在民间交流方面创造新机遇。
So let's bear in mind, this very important part, the Belt and Road Initiative is not just about infrastructure, trade or financial activities. It is also about people-to-people connectivity. And Hong Kong is good, not just at finance activities and trade. We are also very good at promoting people-to-people relationships.
