       在二个星期的时间里，2023年第95届奥斯卡金像奖将于3月12日在好莱坞Dolby剧院举行。有不少著名的演员包括华人演员和电影入围，但最引人瞩目的是，在美国好莱坞116年的历史上，将由第一位华人好莱坞老板主持这次盛会。【1】
   Intwoweeks, the 95th Academy Awards in 2023 will be held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on March 12. There are many well-known actorsand filmsincluding Chinese actorsthat are nominated for theawardceremony, but the most eye-catching is that in the 116-year history of Hollywood in the United States, the first Chinese Hollywood boss will host this grand event.[1]

        1. 屡获殊荣的好莱坞制片人
杨燕子从1984年到2020年，担任了26部电影的制片人、执行制片人。此外，她从80年代起获得所有在中华人民共和国制作的电影在北美的独家代理权，曾于中国著名导演和制片人张艺谋，陈凯歌等密切合作，使得一些中国影片（《红高梁》，《大红灯笼高高挂》，《霸王别姬》等）在美取得成功。【2】

Janet Yang(杨燕子)served as the producer and executive producer of 26 filmsbetween1984 to 2020. In addition, since the 1980s, she has obtained exclusive agency rights in North America for all films produced in the People's Republic of China. She has worked closely withwell-knownChinese directors and producers such as Zhang Yimou(张艺谋)and Chen Kaige(陈凯歌), making some Chinese films ("Red Sorghum"/红高梁," Raise the Red Lantern"/大红灯笼高高挂,"Farewell My Concubine"/霸王别姬,etc.) successful in the United States.[2]
1.1《太阳帝国》Empire of the Sun的制片顾问
1985年，她受聘担任史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格（Steven Spielberg）在中国的制片顾问，负责与中国政府和地方各级政府联络，领导拍摄了迄今为止规模最大的，并具有历史意义的大片《太阳帝国》。然后她进入了环球影业（Universal）的制作团体，负责管理斯皮尔伯格的安培林（Amblin）的客户账目。【3】

In 1985, Steven Spielberghired her as theproduction consultant in China, responsible for liaising with the Chinese government at all levels andled the China Unit for filming thislargest and historically most significant blockbuster movie. She then moved into a production role at Universal, where she managed client accounts for Spielberg's Amblin Pictures.[3]

1.2《喜福会》The Joy Luck Club 的执行制片人
《喜福会》是由谭恩美（Amy Tan）的同名畅销小说改编，由香港的王颖导演。凭借仅1050万美元的预算，这部电影在票房上取得了一定的成功，在美国的收入为3290万美元。因为这部电影具有“文化、历史和美学意义”，2020年国会图书馆选它在美国国家电影登记处永久保存。【4】

2.美国电影艺术与科学学院（好莱坞）院长
杨燕子1956年7月13日出生于纽约皇后区，就读布朗大学专注于中国研究，随后获得了哥伦比亚大学的MBA学位。
2022年7月19日，她在电影学院博物馆受到盛宴，命名了一根以她的名字为名的柱子。她是第一位在博物馆拥有支柱的亚裔美国女性。
2022年8月2日，在好莱坞理事会会议上，杨燕子被选为好莱坞电影艺术与科学学院院长。这使她成为美国电影艺术与科学学院（好莱坞）的第一位亚裔美国院长，也是担任该职位的第四位女性。[8]

Born on July 13,1956,in Queens, New York,Janet Yang attendedBrown University to focus on China studies before earning an MBA from Columbia University.
On July 19, 2022,shewas feasted at the Film Academy Museum, naminga pillar that bears her name. She was the first Asian-American woman to havesuchpillar in the museum.
On August 2, 2022, at theHollywoodBoard meeting,shewas elected as thePresident of the HollywoodAcademy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This madeherthefirst Asian-AmericanPresident of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciencesand the fourth woman to hold the position.[8]

3. AAPI 社区的领导者
杨燕子不仅是美国电影艺术与科学学院院长，还是Committee of 100、南加州亚洲协会顾问委员会、美中关系全国委员会和亚太裔美国人娱乐联盟CAPE的顾问委员会成员。她曾在圣丹斯学院和独立专题项目教授制作。她参与了许多其他艺术、社区和政治组织。她是Gold House的联合创始人；Gold House是一个汇集了娱乐、科技、生活方式和商业领域有影响力的亚洲人的团体。早先她还获得了洛约拉马利蒙特大学的总统奖学金。

She has taught productionseminarsat Sundance College andotherIndependentprojects. Shehas beeninvolved in many artistic, community, and political organizations. She isalsothe co-founder of Gold House, a group of influential Asians in the entertainment, tech,lifestyle,and business sectors.Previously she also received a presidential scholarship from Loyola Marymount University.
On May 3, 2020,shewas a guest speaker at the Asia Society's "Against Racism in the Age of COVID" forum, along with guests such as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Rep. Ted Lieu.
