为什么欧洲的麦当劳logo是绿色？

如果你去过欧洲旅游且仔细观察，就一定会发现欧洲麦当劳餐厅的标识有点特殊，它不是我们熟悉的红黄配

而是绿黄配。

其实，从2009年开始，麦当劳开始在欧洲各国推出新的标识了，从人们习惯的红色+黄色，变成了绿色+黄色。

相信各位小伙伴心中一定是一堆问号？麦当劳开始用“原谅色”作为新的标识，这是为啥？

是为了彰显公司重视环保。

环境友好，拥抱变化

早在2000年的时候，麦当劳就面临着来自环保组织的压力。2007年，麦当劳宣布了在整个欧洲的一系列环境和社会举措，以表明他们对环境友好。

例如，他们采用了环保型制冷，换了非氢化的食用油，然后把老油转化为给车辆提供动力的生物柴油燃料。菜单也变了，引入了有机牛奶，换成可持续种植的咖啡。

为了宣传这种变化，麦当劳将经典的红色被替换为鼠尾草绿色。

最早采用这种新形象的国家是德国。在两年内，该国所有的麦当劳都改用了新的配色方案。其他欧洲国家也紧随其后。

这就是为什么今天欧洲所有麦当劳餐厅在标志性的金拱门后面，都是绿色的背景。

人工智能监控垃圾

更让人吃惊的是麦当劳用人工智能监控倒垃圾，真是为了环保事业，也是拼了！

麦当劳在大型垃圾装卸卡车上安装摄像头和人工智能软件。

Since its inception in San Francisco in 2013, Compology, has used cameras and artificial intelligence to monitor the trash thrown into dumpsters and trash containers. McDonald's restaurants and Nordstrom department stores are its main customers.

The goal of monitoring dumpsters and trash containers is on the one hand to ensure that they are full before the trash truck picks up the trash in them. On the other hand, it is to sort out the paper boxes that are filled and not to recycle such other trash. The dumpsters are supposed to be filled with trash instead of empty paper boxes before the trash truck comes.

监控大型垃圾箱和垃圾桶的目标一方面是确保在垃圾车回收垃圾箱里的垃圾之前，垃圾箱是满的。另一方面，是分拣出那些装满的纸箱子，并不回收这些其他垃圾。是垃圾装卸卡车在停止装垃圾之前，垃圾箱已经满了，而不是只是被空的纸箱子填满而已。

"We've found that most businesses and people have a right perception of recycling, but oftentimes they just don't know what the proper way to recycle is." Gates, CEO of Compology, told CNN Business' Rachel Crane.

To help them do it correctly, Compology puts trash-monitoring cameras and sensors inside industrial waste containers. The cameras take photos several times each day when the container is lifted for dumping, and an accelerometer helps control the camera on garbage day.

为了帮助这些人实行最佳的垃圾回收方式，Compology在个人和公司的垃圾箱里安装了垃圾监控摄像头。这些摄像头每天多次拍摄照片，也会拍摄垃圾车回收垃圾箱的垃圾。在垃圾车回收垃圾那天，加速度计会控制摄像头拍摄。

AI software analyzes the images to figure out the amount of trash in the containers, which also enables customers to know the situation inside the containers. For example, a recyclable box filled with unrecyclable trash might be tossed into the dumpster.

人工智能软件通过分析之前拍摄的图像，来判断垃圾箱的垃圾数量情况，此举也能够让顾客了解垃圾箱里的具体情况。比如，一大包非可回收的垃圾装进可回收的纸箱子里并扔进了垃圾箱。

Gates said the cameras can reduce the amount of non-recyclable waste by 80% for the company.

Gates表示，公司通过摄像头能帮助企业减少80%非可回收物数量。

Compology's cameras and sensors showed that with Las Vegas-based McDonald as an example, McDonald generally did a good job in recycling, especially that of cardboard boxes. However, garbage bags were still occasionally thrown in the recyclable boxes, according to Gates.

Gates表示，以麦当劳拉斯维加斯的餐厅为例，根据Compology's公司的摄像头和传感器显示，麦当劳在垃圾回收再利用方面做得很好，特别是纸箱回收再利用做得非常好，但是，垃圾袋偶尔也被扔进可回收的纸箱里。

Brent Bohn, who operates dozens of McDonald's restaurants in Las Vegas and Phoenix, uses AI products of Compology toensure the staff of restaurants recycle garbage in a proper way.
