An International Value Added Tax (VAT) Associate is responsible for utilizing basic research skills as well as communication and organizational skills and applying their educational background when assisting with the preparation and delivery of advice to clients in a variety of industries on global indirect tax matters working with more experienced members of the VAT team. In this role, the International VAT Associate will be expected to develop technical skills and the ability to solve problems and work with both internal and external clients.


Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

  • Education:

      Bachelor’s degree, required

      Juris Doctorate degree, LLM, and/or MBA, preferred
  • Experience:

      Leadership experience, preferred
  • Software:

      Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, preferred
  • Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    1.Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    2.Strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills, including building models and analysis of financial and numerical data

    3.Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

    4.Ability to follow instructions as directed

    5.Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

    6.Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

    7.Takes appropriate actions without being asked

    8.Seeks advice of appropriate supervisors regarding issues related to tasks to be performed

    9.Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
