近日，德克萨斯州长有关禁止多国公民在德克萨斯购买地产的推特引起轩然大波。

提案中提到禁止中国、伊朗、朝鲜、俄罗斯的企业或个人购买德州的土地，这里的土地包含商业用地和个人住宅等。这是一份赤裸裸具有歧视性的提案。
在震惊之余，让我们先来梳理一下这个提案的现状和华人现在应该采取的行动。
由达拉斯地区Tom律师总结的提案现状：
1. 首先这是一个州参议院提案而已。还不是法律。
2. 德克萨斯的“两院”本立法期才开始不到十天，到五月底结束。还有很多变数，还有机会抗议。
华人该采取的行动：     
1.签署Petition Letter，彰显华人的影响力。Petition Letter的人数可以直观反映民众对这个事件的关注度。

2.潜在受影响的企业和个人也可以直接向自己辖区的立法委员们提出意见。大家火速通过电子邮件或电话联系自己居住地区的德州议员，这是最直接最有效的表达自己不满的方法。
通过这个链接https://wrm.capitol.texas.gov/home （或点击文章左下角的“原文链接”），可以找到你所对应的Texas House Representative和Texas Senator议员。然后点击他们的名字进入他们个人页面，寻找“Email”字样，然后填写你的个人信息和抗议内容。
这里一定要注意：议员只对自己选区的选民负责，所以必须填写准确的地址。议员办公室会收集整理所有的邮件，每一封邮件都是一份力量。

I am writing you this email to formally and strongly protest the proposed bill coded S. B. No. 147.
This bill is not different to the notorious Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, which was repealed in 1943 and officially condemned by the United States Congress in 2011.
This bill is also not different to the notorious Alien Land Law of 1913, which was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1952. This bill is also not different to many other laws against Asian-Americans, all of which our country has recognized as impermissible racial discrimination and human rights violation.
This bill, if passed, will expressly deprive many legal immigrants' rights,  including but not limited to the right granted by the Fair Housing Act (In the sale of housing, it is illegal discrimination to refuse to rent or sell housing, or make housing unavailable, because of national origin); the right of free association guaranteed by the First Amendment.
For the reasons stated above and for many more reasons that cannot all be identified in this short email, S.B. No. 147 will take this country back by almost a century to one of the darkest periods of our history—the segregation era.
Therefore, I, as a voter in your district, strongly urge that you vote against S.B. No. 147.
3.  受本提案影响的有关团体，如地产中介协会等协会可以考虑进行游说。潜在受影响的企业和个人也可以直接向自己辖区的立法委员们提出意见，或聘用代理去发声游说。
