In accordance with China's up-to-date Covid-19 prevention and control measures, requirements for health code application are updated as follows and will take effect from June 30, 2022. 
I. Requirements for Tests 
Two nucleic acid tests(PCR test) should be sampled at two different testing facilities in Ireland (NOT including Northern Ireland) within 48 hours and 24 hours (time interval between the two tests should be more than 24 hours) prior to the departure of the flight. Results of both nucleic acid tests should be negative for the issuance of the health code. 
Note: "XX hours prior to the departure of the flight" should be counted strictly according to hours. For example, if the departure time of the flight is 19:00 of 25 July 2022, "48 hours before departure" means 19:00 of 23 July 2022. 
Documents to Submit 
1. Two nucleic acid testing reports/certificates.
2. Air-ticket itinerary.
3. Information page of passport. 
II. Institutions for Testing
The Embassy does not designate testing institutions or facilities, but accepts nucleic acid reports issued by qualified hospitals and testing facilities in Ireland.
III. Transit
Applicants should get tested in Ireland as well as at the transit airport (the airport for the direct flight to China), and apply for health codes respectively. For requirements of tests at the transit airport, please refer to the official website of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in relevant countries/cities of transit. 
IV.For People Who is Infected or Tested Positive
If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have tested positive for nucleic acid or antibody (not for vaccine reasons), you are considered as having been infected and should not travel to China.
For those who have recovered for more than 14 days, please apply for the health code according to the above Guidance I. For those who have recovered for less than 14 days before the travel, please do not apply until 14 days after recovery. 
V. For People Who Had Close Contact with Someone Who's Tested Positive for PCR or Someone Who Has Developed Symptoms of Covid-19
"Close contact" refers to the fact that one has close contact with PCR positive persons inthe last 14 days.“People who have developed symptoms of Covid-19” refers to those who have developed symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea and etc., or have been denied boarding by the airlines because of symptoms.
Applicants should self-isolate for 5 days after the date of the last close contact or the symptom appears. If no symptoms appear within the 5 days, you can apply for the health code in accordance with Guidance I.

1.The above guidance are based upon the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic and the features of the virus mutations. All passengers are strongly advised to make due self-protection and monitoring before departure and during the travel to avoid infection.
