活动 | 9.21 哥大邀您关注“纽约气候周”：气候科学在灾害防治的应用

活动简介

EVENT INTRODUCTION

“纽约气候周”是全球最具影响力的气候活动之一。今年的“纽约气候周”将于9月19日至9月25日举行。哥大气候学院作为今年气候周的大学合作伙伴，届时将汇集来自学界、政界、业界的气候领袖，共商气候解决方案，为全球气候行动创造动力。

气象灾害是自然灾害中的一种，其影响之深，范围之广，破坏力之强在众多灾害中首屈一指，并且与气候变化息息相关。随着社会全面发展，如何对气候进行有效的评估、预警，以及如何利用气象更有效地进行防灾减灾行动，是当前值得探讨的重要问题。

值此气候周契机，9月21日，哥大全球中心和哥大气候学院气候系统研究中心邀请您参加在线研讨会“气候科学在灾害防治的应用：早期预警、早期行动和基于预测的融资”。

Irene Amuron leads on anticipatory action and is the focal person for learning, innovation and exchange at the Anticipation Hub. She is a technical expert in the field of disaster risk management, whose expertise includes specialist support to National Societies and partners on FbF.

Olivia Warrick

红十字会红新月气候中心太平洋地区高级气候顾问

Senior Pacific Climate Adviser at Climate Centre

Olivia Warricks是红十字会红新月气候中心太平洋地区高级气候顾问。

Olivia Warrick works as a Senior Pacific Climate Adviser at Climate Centre.

Knud Falk

红十字会红新月气候中心技术顾问

Knud Falk是“气候培训工具（Climate Training Kit）”的协同开发者，曾协助开发国家能力发展课程。他持有哥本哈根大学北极生态学博士学位。

Knud Falk has worked with Climate Centre for more than ten years. He jointly developed the Climate Training Kit and assists in the development and facilitation of capacity development courses for National Societies. He has a Ph.D. in Arctic ecology from the University of Copenhagen.

Catalina Jaime

红十字会红新月气候中心气候与冲突经理

Catalina Jaime负责领导气候预测中心在冲突情况下的预测性行动。她目前正在特温特大学攻读博士学位。

Catalina Jaime manages work on climate and conflict and leads on anticipatory action in situations of conflict for the Anticipation Hub. Over the past few years, she has coordinated the global development of anticipatory action, and is currently doing her Ph.D. at the University of Twente.

Andrew Kruczkiewicz

哥伦比亚大学气候学院国际气候与社会研究所高级助理研究员

Andrew Kruczkiewicz毕业于哥伦比亚大学，研究方向为大气和气象变量的遥感和绘图。他曾就职于美国宇航局和国际气候与社会研究所，负责开发算法以监测东非的土地淹没和覆盖情况，并以此为卫生部门和人道主义部门提供帮助。

Andrew Kruczkiewicz is a senior staff associate at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) at Columbia Climate School. Kruczkiewicz graduated from Columbia University specializing in remote sensing and mapping of atmospheric and meteorological variables. He interned for NASA and IRI developing algorithms to monitor inundation and land cover in East Africa, with a focus on applications for the health and humanitarian sectors.
