elbow grease
费劲儿
►含义：
The hard physical work that's often required to get a difficult task done.
为了完成某项工作，而需要付出比较费体力的劳动。
►例句：
If you want your car to look shiny, then use some elbow grease when you scrub it.

你要是想让你的汽车看着光亮，那么擦的时候就使点劲儿。
►对话：
A:The shop keeper said this brand of laundry powder can wash off all kinds of stains while you don't even have to put in any elbow grease. He then urged me to buy 10 packs!
店主说这个牌子的洗衣粉，可以洗去任何种类的污渍，你甚至都不用费一点儿力气。然后他极力劝我买了10包！
B:You rise to the bait! His laundry powder is full of chemical composition.
你上当了！他的洗衣粉里都是些化学成分。
