Dear Parents, Students, and TAs,
We would like to invite you to the Closing Ceremony of Youth4AM SHSAT & Leadership Summer Camp 2022 on August 6th, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Youth4AM’s SHSAT & Leadership Summer Camp is run by New York Residents Alliance, a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2018 that qualifies for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) and SYEP.
Our mission is to safeguard and strive for equal opportunities for Chinese Americans in education and safety by actively registering voters, promoting Chinese Americans’ participation in democracy, and gluing together hundreds of Chinese organizations & associations.
Students and volunteers have built crucial skills that will allow them to succeed in their future careers by managing the camp’s high school student-run academics, marketing, IT, administrative, and career development departments. The hands-on management experience has set these students up to be the accomplished individuals needed to advocate for the beliefs of their underrepresented communities.
Since 2019, each year we’ve:
1.  Provided free leadership training to ~120 high schoolers and college students at top schools for college and professional careers, with the most in-demand professional skills such as data analysis, digital marketing, IT, etc. Some trainees have even scored Expert Levels (top 5%) based on the assessments from LinkedIn & Indeed, the leading recruiting sites.
2.  Provided low-cost SHSAT prep and Public Speaking training to ~100 middle school students per year, for a fraction of the cost of other programs.
3.  Fostered good citizenship through civic education by encouraging volunteer work and breaking harmful Asian American stereotypes.
Please join us in celebrating our students’ achievements and witnessing Youth4AM’s growth and contribution to the community at the Closing Ceremony, where we will also be featuring speeches from prominent leaders in this industry.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
The Youth4AM Committee:
