分子定义聚合物 | Polymer Chem 专题合辑
英国皇家化学会出版的高分子领域知名期刊 Polymer Chemistry 近日发表了主题为「分子定义聚合物:合成与功能」(Molecularly Defined Polymers: Synthesis and Function) 的专题合辑,由比利时根特大学 Filip Du Prez 教授、美国麻省理工学院Jeremiah Johnson 教授和宾州州立大学的 Elizabeth Elacqua 教授担任客座编辑,本专辑介绍了具有可控、定义或精确分子尺度结构的聚合物在合成和应用方面的最新发展。合成具有分子定义结构聚合物的新策略有望开启功能材料的新时代。
合成策略包括控制原子连接(顺序控制)、三维官能团呈现(立体化学、立构规整度)、构象(如二级或高阶结构)以及合成聚合物中这些特征的组合。这些特征会影响包括机械性能、自组装、信息存储或与生物系统的相互作在内的功能。
