- 主要的金融产品类型都有哪些？
- 金融衍生品是什么？
- 宏观经济走向如何影响市场的走势？
- 我们应该买哪个公司的股票？哪个公司是潜力股呢？
- 如果我想开始投资，我应该从何开始？投资适合我吗？
- 金融领域有哪一些就业机会？这个行业的未来走向如何？
Raymond J. Hawkins是加州大学伯克利分校经济系的讲师。
他曾是Countrywide金融公司的执行副总裁和交易员，管理服务对冲小组，为Countrywide公司1.5T的抵押贷款服务权组合进行对冲交易。以前的工作经历包括巴克莱全球投资公司、贝尔斯登公司和所罗门兄弟公司。
在从事金融业之前，他是劳伦斯-利弗莫尔国家实验室的一名计算物理学家。他拥有纽约市哥伦比亚大学的固态科学博士学位，是特许金融分析师。

This seminar is aimed at introducing finance to students who do not have much exposure or previous experience related to finance, to increase financial literacy and help students understand basic financial terminology and knowledge. Professor Hawkins will aim to introduce financial topics from a non-technical perspective and to introduce finance from an intuitive perspective. Professor Hawkins will further provide some advice to all with regards to how to initiate your own investments as well as the relative opportunities the financial industries contain and its future prospects.
In this seminar, we will introduce the following topics:
- What is finance and what is investing?
- What are the major asset classes?
- What are financial derivatives?
- How does the macroeconomy affect the markets?
- When we want to invest in a certain company, what should we pay attention to?
- Should I begin investing? How can I begin investing?
- What are some opportunities in the financial industry? What is the current industry outlook?
Raymond J. Hawkins is a Lecturer in the economics department at the University of California, Berkeley. 
He was formerly an Executive Vice President and trader at Countrywide Financial Corporation where he managed the servicing hedge group that traded the hedge for Countrywide’s $1.5T portfolio of mortgage servicing rights. Previous affiliations include Barclays Global Investors, Bear Stearns and Salomon Brothers. Before his career in finance, he was a computational physicist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. 
He holds a Ph.D. in solid-state science from Columbia University in the City of New York and is a CFA charterholder.
