Innovation of communication in this century has offered the opportunity for people to re-connect with their old friends and acquaintances, make new friends, share content and pictures, and many other activities in a convenient way like never before. We would still be sitting by a candle and writing a letter to get in touch with a friend, as opposite to sitting in front of the computer and logging into Facebook to contact a friend if it wasn’t for certain inventions - mobile phones, social media, and any other telecommunication means - that were so incredible that had enough impact to change the whole world forever.

Compared with people from the last century, who lacked state-of-the-art medical treatment, people nowadays have doubled their life span with a relatively high fitness level to assist them in accomplishing their dreams after their retirement.

However, Human activity is leading to the extinction of species and habitats and loss of bio-diversity over this century. Heavy metals, nitrates and plastic are toxins responsible for pollution: water pollution is caused by oil spill, acid rain, urban runoff; air pollution is caused by various gases and toxins released by industries and factories and combustion of fossil fuels; soil pollution is majorly caused by industrial waste that deprives soil from essential nutrients. Furthermore, population explosion in less developed and developing countries is straining the already scarce resources.
