on有“在······上”的意思，money是钱，

on the money是“在钱上”还是“看在钱的份上”？
都不是，on the money真正的意思是：正好，刚好。
例句：
I'd say you are on the money 
about that situation.

我想说你的位置刚刚好。
for the money's sake
sake表示：目的、利益、理由，

“看在钱的份上”说白了就是为了钱，以钱为目的，
所以可以说for the money's sake。
而for God's sake是“看在上帝的份上”。
例句：

have money to burn
不是：有钱可以烧
而是：有花不完的钱

字面意思：钱会说话
引申为：金钱万能，有钱能使鬼推磨
例句：
I am wiser than to believe what you call money talks. 
我不至于可笑到相信你所谓的
金钱万能的说法。
put your money 
where your mouth is
不是：把钱放你嘴里
而是：不开空头支票，说到做到
例句：
you had better put your money where your mouth is.
你最好说到做到。
