Carnegie Mellon Receives $20 Million to Establish Hoskinson Center for Formal Mathematics in Dietrich College

Entrepreneur Charles C. Hoskinson has made a $20 million gift to Carnegie Mellon University to establish the Hoskinson Center for Formal Mathematics. Center aims to improve global access to mathematics, improve the power of computational proof-assistants, and increase collaboration among educators, researchers, learners.

Five SCS Specialties Ranked No. 1 by U.S. News and World Report

卡耐基梅隆大学的计算机科学学院在美国新闻与世界报道的2022年最佳大学排名中，获得了5个排名最高的专业领域，并保持了计算机科学综合排名第一的地位。

Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science racked up five top-ranked specialty areas and maintained its No. 1 overall ranking for computer science in U.S. News and World Report's 2022 Best Colleges rankings.

The school ranked first in the specialty areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, game development, programming languages and software engineering. This is the first year the school held the top spots in game development and programming languages.
