- New Grad with a BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics (Grad Date between Dec. 2021 & August 2022).
- 1+ relevant internship experience or school project experience

- Coursework or relative experience with data structures, algorithms, and debugging (Bonus if you’ve taken a course on distributed systems).
- Practical knowledge of Java or any other object-oriented programming language.
- You’re currently a rising Junior or rising Senior, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
- You are familiar with CS fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
- You have practical knowledge of one or more programming languages (JavaScript or Java preferred).
- You can work independently and are unafraid to seek out suggestions from other team members.
- You have a strong passion for tackling complex problems.
- You love both the frontend and backend, and bonus if you have experience with web frameworks, such as React, and familiarity with Node.js applications.
- You have proven to work effectively in a collaborative environment and have a willingness to share your ideas.
- You get excited about exploring new solutions and are willing to break things to learn.
- You make confident decisions that are well thought out.
- Curious and motivated learner - a currently enrolled student pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related field
- Clear communicator - you are concise and articulate in speech and writing
- Innovative and creative - a problem solver with the ability to come up with simple solutions to complex problems
- Adaptable - open to learning and trying new things
- Comfortable working with a programming language like Python or Java
- Have experience working in public clouds like AWS
- Experience or interest in security topics such as detection, exploitation, or cloud security
- We will only consider candidates that are legally authorized to work in the USA. We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled PhD or MS student in the Machine Learning space.
- Experience with at least one of the following ML areas: Personalization & Recommender Systems; Computer Vision, Graphics, Natural Language Understanding & Multimodal ML; Search & Conversational AI; Fairness, Accountability & Transparency; Causal Inference & Modeling; Reinforcement Learning & Bandits; ML for Systems, Productivity & Operations; or ML Platform & Infrastructure. - Experience programming in at least one language (e.g. Python, Scala, Java or C/C++).
- Curious, self-motivated, and excited about solving open-ended challenges at Netflix.
- Great communication skills, both oral and written.
Nice To Have
- Past publications in relevant conferences or journals.
- Comfortable with distributed computing environments such as Spark or Presto.
- Comfortable with software engineering best practices (e.g. version control, testing, code review, etc.)
