Zora Zheng

Alex

Eric Shen
Angela Zhang
Henry Wu
Hello! My name is Henry Wu, and I graduated from Essex High School in Essex Junction, Vermont.  I am currently finishing up a gap year before attending Harvard College in the fall.
I am passionate about music, education, and social justice, and I seek to combine these passions in creative ways. In high school, I was the co-founder of a library classical music performance series, a Director of Global Operations for a youth music education initiative, and the cellist for a social justice band. I was also the captain of my school's Scholars' Bowl and Math League teams and a U.S. Presidential Scholar and Coca-Cola Scholar. I am interested in studying computational social science, using data science to address public policy issues.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, hiking, cooking, logic puzzles, and origami.
Wilson Zheng
What’s up? My name is Wilson and I am an incoming freshman at UCLA from Dr. G.W. Williams S.S. (IB diploma program) .
Throughout the last four years, I have expanded on my interests in biology while exploring new avenues in the sciences, humanities, and more! In school, I was the President of the Science Club, an Executive Member of HOSA, the Shooting Guard for our school’s varsity basketball team, and the VP of the Debate Club.
Outside of school, I worked on numerous volunteering initiatives at The Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation for numerous BioBlitzes, while volunteering at the Southlake Hospital, competing in BP debate tournaments, and participating in research at TKS. Moreover, in my free time, I enjoy identifying insects and graphic design.
Katie Wang
Hi, my name is Katie! I am a student graduating from University of Toronto Schools and I will be attending Cornell University in the fall.
I have always had a passion for art, design, and sustainability, which is why I am choosing to pursue architecture. I was our school’s set design team head for our annual production, an editor for the yearbook, and participated in other extracurriculars such as DECA, an urban planning club, and sports teams.
Outside of school, I work as a lifeguard and I love spending my time painting, playing the piano, and going hiking with friends! Eric Tu
Eric Tu
I am Eric, a previous student from the University of Toronto Schools (grade 7-10) and a graduating student from the UWC LPC heading to Yale this year.
Beside academic study, I have a wide range of interests and my main extracurricular activities include debate, public speaking, music and leadership. During my years in high school, I coached and participated in debate, engaged with a variety of music ensembles, different kinds of school clubs, and act as captain of school basketball team.
Outside of school, I explored academic fields such as classics and philosophy on my own. Managed free debate summer camps. I’m undecided in my major, but am interested in studying cognitive science in college.
Charleston Chen
Hi everyone, my name is Charleston Chen, a graduating student from the University of Toronto Schools heading to UCLA.
During high school, I made sure to take each opportunity to quench my thirst in a variety of my interests. I completed my own psychology project and paper on personalities, performed piano at Carnegie Hall, and was the team captain of our varsity badminton team.
Apart from these, I also enjoy working on my garden, fishing, and biking to nearby cities. I plan on pursuing business in college.
Zora Zheng
Hi all! My name is Zora, and I'm a prospective Environmental Science and Public Policy major at Harvard this fall.
For high school, I attended Richview Collegiate Institute, and spent most of the four years playing sports and volunteering. I was the Youth in control club president, founder of the Asian Heritage Club, and the student council president. I also love working with younger kids, so most of my extracurriculars involved helping out at after school programs, camps, tutoring, and coaching!
Recently I've been spending most of my time co-running a non-profit, reading, and catching up on anime in my free time. Nice to meet you all!
Alex
Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I recently graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall. I'll be a freshmen at NYU's College of Arts and Sciences in the fall.
During high school, I was a part of the varsity swim and water polo teams as well as a writer for the newspaper and satirical magazine. I also founded the Gearhead service with a few friends to teach programming basics to young members of the Spanish Community of Wallingford.  Inspired by a summer program for law @ Brown in 10th grade, I plan to study economics in college and ultimately attend law school.
Eric Shen
Hey everyone! I’m Eric, a recent graduate of the University of Toronto Schools, and incoming freshman at Harvard University.
During high school, I was most interested in mathematics, most notably math competitions. I participated in both the International Physics and Math Olympiads, and am also part of Team Canada for the IMO this year. Outside of the sciences, I also enjoyed playing piano and cello, and have recently also begun a hobby in cooking!
At Harvard, I’ll be continuing my studies in math, and possibly exploring a Physics minor as well.
Angela Zhang
Hi! My name is Angela and I graduated from Bayview Secondary School (IB diploma program). I will be attending UC Berkeley in the fall, potentially majoring in biology & business!
I like to describe my high school career as “a biologist by day and an artist by night.” I ran HOSA—a medicine club—as co-president and competed in biology Olympiads, but outside of academics, I rehearsed for dance performances and produced music (still do!).
Currently, I am learning Python, trying new recipes, and reading “Sapiens” (it’s been collecting dust on my shelf for way too long).
