Professor Veronica Guo
Professor Veronica Guo is Assistant Professor of Clinical Business Communication at USC Marshall School of Business. Dr. Guo’s research focuses on organizational and intercultural communication in business. 
She is particularly interested and specialized in identity development and strategic negotiation in various international organizational contexts. Her research has appeared on top-tier journals that examined topics such as organizational culture, conflict management, emotion management, communication technology use in business (e.g., social media, mobile), and leadership communication. Professor’s pedagogical expertise in academia includes organizational communication, communication strategies in business, leadership communication, business and professional communication, communication in non-western culture, and persuasion. Prior to academia, Dr. Guo held program and event coordinator positions in Chinese and U.S. multinational companies, specializing in intercultural business communicationDr. Guo has been a dedicated LEAP mentor since 2017.
Doug Schafer
Doug Schafer is currently Director of Software Engineering at Dell EMC,  responsible for integrating ClarityNow technology he has developed into Dell's product portfolio. 
He cofounded DataFrameworks in 2009. The company's ClarityNow storage analysis product quickly became the leading solution for TV and film post production, life sciences (genetic research), and chip design. Dell Technologies acquired DataFrameworks in August 2018. Prior to DataFrameworks, Doug was the VP Product Development for DataDirect Networks, which provides storage to the majority of the Supercomputing Top 100. Prior to DDN, Doug was the VP Engineering, Platform for Ixia, which develops TCP/IP test equipment. Ixia sold to Keysight Technologies in 2016 for $1.6B. Doug holds a BSEE from the California Institute of Technology. Doug has been a dedicated LEAP mentor since 2015.
Lisa Yuan
Lisa is a Principal in the strategy consulting practice at Tyton Partners. Prior to joining the company, Lisa earned her MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she majored in marketing, finance, and management science. While at Kellogg, she co-founded an education startup exploring innovative ways of delivering STEM project-based curricula. In addition, she was awarded the McGowan Fellowship sponsored by the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund as the only recipient in her MBA class.
Prior to Kellogg, she was a professional specialized in transaction advisory at KPMG. She began her career at Deloitte in the Audit practice where she held a CPA license in California. In addition to her MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Lisa holds a Master of Accounting degree from Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, and Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Science in Psychology degrees from Peking UniversityOriginally from Beijing, China, Lisa is fluent in Mandarin. In her spare time, she likes to read, travel, sing, and play with her cat Boba. Lisa is a dedicated LEAP mentor since 2017.
