你可能不一定了解,哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院(HKS)的“阿什民主治理与创新中心”(Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation)有多牛逼?


7月12日,被美国媒体评为“史上最差国务卿”的蓬佩奥发推文称,“中国共产党有严重的信誉问题。”


对此,中国外交部发言人华春莹作出回击。她表示,“蓬佩奥是出了名的以‘撒谎、欺骗为荣’。这样一个已经完全丧失自身信誉的人,还批评其他国家的信誉,非常可笑。”

华春莹在驳斥蓬佩奥的同时,还提到了哈佛大学的一项调查报告。根据该报告,中国民众2016年对中央政府的满意度高达93.1%。


这份报告题为《理解中国共产党韧性:中国民意长期调查》,正是由哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院阿什民主治理与创新中心(Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation)于2020年7月发布。


肯尼迪学院的三名专家于2003至2016年间在中国进行了8次调查,同3万余名中国城乡民众进行了面对面的谈话,然后撰写了这份报告。报告得出的结论是,2003年以来,中国民众对政府的满意度几乎全面提升。其中,内陆及贫困地区的民众的满意度提升较大。

Job Title: 2020 Full Research Assistant - Data Analysis


Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation is looking for three Research Assistants on a temporary basis to work with the China Philanthropy Project to help the research team research, collect, verify, and analyze donation data in China and the United States. The current project’s website is: https://chinaphilanthropy.ash.harvard.edu.

 

Ideal applicants should have a strong background in data analysis as well as interest in the development of philanthropy in China. Successful candidates should be able to accomplish the following tasks:

 

  1. Identify articles relating to Chinese philanthropic donationson Google and Baidu and code the relevant data into our database;

  2. Extract donation data from multiple online sources such as philanthropic foundations, university andcorporate annual reports, as well as 3rd party aggregators;

  3. Mutually verify data, analyze the dataset, and compute summary statistics;

  4. Develop data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or other comparable tools;

  5. Help on the research report’s desk top publishing and typesetting.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Fluent in written and spoken Chinese.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.

  • Experience with data visualization tools.

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Lightroom is a plus.

  • Ability to work within a team under time constraints and meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work either 35-40 hours perweek (full-time temp) or 15-17 hours per week (part-time temp) during the fall. Anticipated start date is late August or early September.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

 

This opportunity will involve working with faculty and researchers to expand and deepen an exciting database of top Chinese philanthropists and recipient organizations in China, which seeks toquantify indices related to generosity, diversity, and innovation in thisemerging sector. This work will link to the Ash Center’s innovation activities and China Programs.
