  • Using modelling and analysis to understand clients’ businesses
  • Working with UK and global insurance and reinsurance companies on reserve reviews, transactions, portfolio transfers, actuarial modelling and more
  • Analysing data, communicating with clients, writing reports and presenting your work
  • Building proposals for new business pitches

任职资格
  • If you achieved an A in A-Level maths (or Scottish Higher / Baccalaureate equivalent) and are in your penultimate year at uni studying a numbers-based subject like mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, physics or similar, 
  • or you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you. 
You’ll also need 
  • a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, 
  • and three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent.

  • Process actuarial census data and help to prepare complex actuarial valuations and related financial disclosures
  • Reviewing annual tax and financial disclosures in connection with required annual audits
  • Assessing financial and compliance risks in retirement and benefit plans
  • Preparing individual benefit calculations for pension programs
  • Preparing annual employee benefit plan filings with the IRS or DOL

任职资格
  • Progress toward an undergraduate degree with a concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics (and pursuing Pension and/or Health)
  • An understanding of the actuarial exam and certification process with a start on the exam process underway (successful completion of one or more actuarial exams preferred), or a commensurate level of continuing education for non-actuarial areas of focus
  • Familiarity with time value of money and interest calculations
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • A driver’s license valid in the US
  • Willingness and ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
