我们不是天生就知道做出某件事情可能会导致伤害的发生，小时候好奇的你也许会触碰一个正在加热的火锅边缘，被烫得瞬间缩手的你，马上会将该体验和疼痛联系起来，再也不会想去碰火锅的边缘了。很明显，疼痛在高级动物中起到了进化的作用。昆虫虽然有神经系统，但并没有高级动物才有的、负责将负面刺激转化为情绪体验的神经结构。我们要适度地学会屏蔽和隔离 ，当下社会就是一个很好极端例子去引发人们对于发生特殊事件时的自我应激调节。这次疫情就是一个疼痛点，我想相信我们能对这特殊的痛觉产生新的抗疫能力。
就此我设计了一对“痛觉隔离”的人物形象，当下我们也需要思考自己在社会中的小我和大我。
We weren't born to know that doing something could lead to injury. When you were a kid, you may touch the edge of a hot pot, and quickly shrink your hands away. You now know never to touch the edge of the hot pot again. Obviously, pain has evolved in advanced animals. Although insects have a nervous system, they do not have the neural structures found in advanced animals that are responsible for converting negative stimuli into emotional experiences. We need to learn to shield and isolate ourselves moderately. The current society is a good example of triggering people's self-stress regulation when special events occur. This epidemic situation is a point of pain. I want to believe that we can generate new anti-epidemic capabilities to this particular pain sensation.
I designed a pair of "pain isolation" characters that will help us to think about our ego and our ego’s effects in society.

2020过的非常魔幻，算算时间现在都宅在家里快一个半月了，每次吃苹果的时候都会思考很久。伊甸园里的苹果带着欲望，白雪公主手里的苹果带着毒。而我们手里的苹果呢？又是否应该下嘴呢？
2020 has been a very magical year. I have stayed at home for almost a month and a half now, and I think it’s been a long time since I have eaten an apple. The apples in Eden were lustful, the apples in Snow White's hands were poisonous. And the apple in our hand? Should I eat?

让我注意到时间的长短是家属的头发，因为没法去理发店，最后直接变成鸟窝，每天这样见面的结果就是越看越不顺眼，然后开始吵吵闹闹，挑对方的刺。最后决定试着帮他剪一下。
I noticed that the length of time was the hair of the family members, because I could n’t go to the barbershop, and it turned into a bird's nest directly. The result of this meeting every day is that the more I see it, the less pleasing the eyes, and then I start to make noise and pick the other's thorns. Finally decided to try to cut it for him.

这段时间唯一与外界建立联系的就是网络，但从网络上看到许多令人心碎的消息，是家人的拥抱带给我了安慰与希望。因为家人的拥抱让我感觉在这小小的一方天地里也能有莫大的安全感。
During this time, the only thing that established me with contact of the outside world was the Internet. What I saw from the Internet was lots of heartbreaking news. My family’s hugs brought me comfort and hope. They made me feel that I could have a great sense of security in this small world.

因为家人的鼓励，重拾希望，那我唯一能做的就是做一个优秀的厨娘，作为报答，要把他养的白白胖胖，健健康康。
Because of the encouragement from my family and renewed hope they gave, the only thing I could do was to be an excellent cook, and in return I will keep him fat and healthy.

此次疫情爆发，不少反华情绪借机发酵，借病毒名义来进行歧视和人生攻击，无知的病毒蒙蔽了他们的双眼，造成没有必要的恐慌，放下歧视，共抗疫情。
The outbreak of this epidemic has caused a wide spread anti-China sentiment. People have used the name of the virus to carry out discrimination and attacks. The ignorance of the virus has blinded their eyes causing unnecessary panic, and the unwillingness to let go of discrimination, and fight together against the epidemic.
