  sleep in 睡懒觉，起的迟
sleep in 是指赖床，比平时起床的时间晚，区别于oversleep（睡过头），sleep in有主观因素在里面。
例句：
Mom, may I sleep in? 
It’s Saturday today. 
妈妈，今天是星期六，我可以睡个懒觉吗？

  recurring nightmare 梦魇再现
nightmare 是噩梦、恐怖的梦境的意思，如果一个人反复做同样的恶梦，就叫做 recurring nightmare。愿大家都能远离 nightmare，每晚都有 sweet dreams（好梦）。

  toss and turn 辗转反侧
失眠之后，人们会不自觉的翻来覆去，辗转反侧。同时，还可以用restless sleep来形容睡觉的时候动来动去，不消停。
例句：
I was tossing and turning all night long. 
我整夜都翻来覆去睡不着。

  take a cat nap 打盹，小睡一下
nap本身有“小睡”之意，所以英文中常用take a cat nap这个短语表示小睡一会儿。另外，还有take a power nap，这种属于时间较短但很有质量的小睡，睡完能让你满血复活的那种 。

She took a cat nap on the beach in the afternoon.下午她在沙滩上打了个盹儿。

  hit the sack 去睡觉
这是一个常用口语表达，我们知道hit是“打”的意思，但在口语中，hit常指“开始做某件事”的意思，所以hit the sack是去睡觉的意思，这个短语还可以说成hit the hay。

  sleep like a log/baby 睡得很香很沉
log 是“圆木”的意思，一般树木被砍成圆木后， 放在地上一动不动， 所以就被用来形容“人睡得很沉”。

  night owl 夜猫子
当然，还有一种人睡不着不是因为失眠，而是单纯的不想睡，比如爱熬夜（stay up）的“夜猫子”，他们似乎在夜里学习工作的效率会更高一些。

大家还记得 sound and safe（安然无恙）吗？sound 在做形容词/副词时，有“健康的”、“平稳的”意思，在这个短语里，它形容人睡得沉、睡得香甜。

  a heavy/deep sleeper 睡得很沉的人
这个短语用来形容很容易入睡并且睡得很沉，不容易被叫醒的人。
例句：
Thankfully the children were heavy sleepers most of the time.
