Position 1: Accounting/Finance Internship
The Accounting/Finance Intern assists with tasks in the Finance Department focusing mostly Cash receipts (rentals, café sales, ticketing, miscellaneous deposits, etc)
  • Preparing bank deposits and re-coding them in Blackbaud’s Financial Edge System
  • Month-End Close: event income computations, website activity, etc
  • Account reconciliations: reconciling rental deposits, credit card, deferred incomes account, etc

Position #2:MARKETING - GENERAL
The General Marketing intern assists the Digital Marketing Manager and the Marketing Associate in the day-to-day tasks of the Symphony Space Marketing office.
  • Maintaining the Symphony Space email contact list, including preparing patron imports, removing duplicate entries, and tagging patron records as needed.
  • Reviewing website content for needed corrections and updates, and implementing changes in the website’s CMS.
  • Assisting the Marketing office with preparation of data and reports for various Symphony Space departments.
  • Assisting with the preparation of email newsletters and announcements.
  • Attendance at weekly career development seminar/meetings led by Symphony Space professionals and guests
  • Applicants should have experience with a website CMS, an email marketing system, a CRM system, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign.
Position #3:MARKETING - AUDIO/VIDEO & SELECTED SHORTS
The Audio/Video & Selected Shorts intern works with the Marketing Department and the Radio Producer for Selected Shorts recording, editing video and audio projects, uploading audio files for administrative management of media files and inventory occasional writing copy and recording talent
  • Attendance at weekly career development seminar/meetings led by Symphony Space professionals and guests
  • Listening to audio recordings of the readings in performance 
  • Reviewing finished broadcasts for quality control creating archival media organizing production materials; and helping to get program content
