王彤简介
王彤，著名经济学家和战略学家，经济学博士，现任中国社会经济调查研究中心主任，中国城镇化促进会副主席，中国发展研究院院长，曾任中国绿色能源发展基金管理委员会主席。分别荣获国家发改委2015年评选“中国绿色发展领军人物”、2016年评选“发展中国十大年度人物”、2017年评选“中国发展十大改革人物”称号和中央电视台、新华社、中国国际教育电视台联合评选“2016年度中国最具影响力十大文化杰出人物”称号，长期从事国家宏观经济政策研究，主持多个国家级重大经济课题研究，主编《2015中国发展指数报告》和《2016中国发展指数报告》，经常在中央电视台和《学习时报》、《光明日报》、《中国经济时报》、《紫光阁》以及人民网、新华网等主流媒体接受访谈并发表时事文章，致力于中国绿色经济发展和国家战略研究，国家发改委中国发展网专家委员会高级专家，在支持企业节能环保和新能源领域发展成就斐然，扶持多家能源环保科技企业上市，同时也是中国多个城市的经济发展顾问。
【Event】Wang Tong：China's Thinking in the Great Transformation of the World 
There was a saying in ancient China:
The world's overall trend, 
Is like current in the river, 
The ones who swim along the flow will flourish, 
And the ones who resist the flow will drown.
We are living in an age of information, swimming along the fast-paced current of economic globalization and world integration. Most of us can speak more than one language fluently, and each one of us is influencing the future trend of international relations profoundly.
In such a world, it is critical for us to learn how to find our own positions, how to cooperate with others, and how to prosper together. How can we, as individuals and groups, enlarge convergence of interests with other countries to build a community of interests for the benefit of citizens of all countries in the world?
Fortunately, we are privileged to invite the renowned economist, Dean of the China Development Research Institute and Vice President of the National Innovation and Development Strategy Research Association, Wang Tong to Harvard University. He is going to share with us a wealth of knowledge concerning China's thinking in the great transformation of the world and discuss his in-depth experience of China's economics. Wang Tong
Wang Tong is a famous economist and strategist, who had his Ph.D. in Economics, and he is the director of the China Center for Social and Economic Research, Vice President of the China Urbanization Promotion Association, Dean of the China Development Research Institute, and former President of the China Green Energy Development Fund Management Committee. He was awarded the “China Green Development Leader” by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2015, the “Top Ten People in China” in 2016, and the “Top Ten Reformers in China” in 2017. Moreover, CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, China International Education TV Station jointly selected him as one of the “2016 China's Top Ten Most Influential Culturally Outstanding Persons.” 
Wang Tong has been engaged in national macroeconomic policy research for long, and he has conducted researches on several major national economic issues. He was the editor of the 2015 China Development Index Report and the 2016 China Development Index Report. He is frequently interviewed by CCTV and gets published on "Learning Times", "Guangming Daily", "China Economic Times", "Ziguangge", and the mainstream media such as People's Daily Online and Xinhuanet. He is committed to China's green economy development and national strategy research. As a senior expert of the National Development and Reform Commission's China Development Network, he has made great achievements in supporting the development of energy conservation, environmental protection and new energy of different enterprises, and he has supported many energy and environmental protection technology companies. He is also an economic development consultant for several cities in China.
