一年一度的最美英音盛宴又来了！
刚刚，英国女王伊丽莎白二世发表了2017年的圣诞致辞。
我们第一时间奉上了致辞的音频（视频无法通过审核），并听打了原文，还把许多曾多次出现在女王致辞中的高频词拎出来，看看几十年前的女王是怎么使用这些词的！

six decades on, the presenter has evolved somewhat, as has the technology she described. Back then who could’ve imagined that people would one day be watching this on laptop and mobile phones, as some of you are today. 
But I’m also struck by something that hasn’t changed today. whatever the technology, many of you will be watching this at home. 
第一段女王回顾了60年前，即1957年，自己第一次在电视前进行圣诞致辞的场景。
她感慨了科技的变迁：当时谁敢想象，今天人们能用手机收看她的致辞呢？不过许多事情可能不会变，比如人们很可能依然在家里收看。

1957年的圣诞致辞，女王就用过change这个词，她当时说，这个世界变化太快了：
That it is possible for some of you to see me today is just another example of the speed at which things are changing all around us.
而1992年的圣诞致辞中，在这一年里遭遇许多烦心事的女王说：
To me, this continuity is a great source of comfort in a world of change, tension and violence.
We think of our homes as places of warmth, familiarity and love of shared stories and memories, which is perhaps why this time of year so many returned to where they grew up. 
There is a timeless simplicity to the pull of home. For many the idea of home reaches beyond the physical building to hometown or city.  
这段，女王谈到了今天的主题词，home。女王致辞经常会有主题。去年的主题是inspirational unsung heros，鼓舞人心的无名英雄。2014年是reconciliation，和解。

今年致辞中，女王说家是充满着温暖、熟悉和爱的地方，家庭的影响力是永久而朴实的。而在女王过往的致辞中，home和family也都是很少缺席的单词。
1952年的致辞中，她说：
At Christmas our thoughts are always full of our homes and our families.
2013年，威廉和凯特迎来了他们第一个小宝贝，乔治小王子，喜笑颜开的曾祖母骄傲地告诉大家，我们家又多了一个小子：
Here at home, my own family is a little larger this Christmas.
This Christmas I think of London and Manchester whose powerful identities shone through the past twelve months in the face of appalling attacks. 
In Manchester, those targeted included children, who had gone to see that favorite singer. 
接着，女王把home的概念进行了扩展，home不只是家庭，也是城市这样的大家庭。
之后，女王提到了英国在2017年经历的一系列磨难，尤其是伦敦和曼彻斯特的三次恐怖袭击。但她夸赞了两个城市给人带来的强大认同力，并在这一年里一直光芒无限。

女王在上一句中用了shine through，形容伦敦和曼彻斯特这一年里克服恐袭带来的苦痛。shine这个词同样是女王常用的词，比如shining example就是女王最常用的搭配之一。
上一次使用，是2015年，当年11月法国巴黎遭遇恐怖袭击，至少132人死亡。女王当年了引用圣诞颂歌鼓舞大众——光芒在黑暗中闪耀，黑暗无法战胜光芒：

We expect our homes to be a place of safety, sanctuary even, which makes it all the more shocking when the comfort they provide is shattered. 
A few weeks ago, the Prince of Wales visited the Caribbean in the aftermath of hurricanes that destroyed entire communities. And here in London who can forget the sheer awfulness of the Grenfell Tower fire. 
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who died and those who lost so much, and we are indebted to members of the emergency services, who risked their own lives this past year saving others. Many of them of course will not be at home today. They are working to protect us. 
这一部分，女王赞扬了在这些事件中受伤的同胞，称赞了他们的勇气和坚韧，bravery and resilience。
她还提到了加勒比国家中受飓风影响的灾民，以及在伦敦6月大火中失去住所的居民。

Reflecting on these events makes me grateful for the blessings of home and family and in particular to 70 years of marriage. 
I don’t if anyone had invented the term Platinum for a 70th wedding anniversary when I was born. You weren’t expected to be around that long. 
Even Prince Phillip has decided it’s time to slow down a little, having, as he economically put it, done his bit. 
But I know his support and unique sense of humor will as strong as ever, as we enjoy spending time this Christmas with our family and looking forward to welcoming new members into it next year. 
此时，女王把话题转向了菲利普亲王。
今年是女王和菲利普亲王结婚70周年。女王桌上摆着4张照片，其中就有她和菲利普的两张相隔70年的照片，分别摄于1947年和2017年。女王打趣说，谁发明了“铂金婚”（Platinum，70年的婚姻）这个词呢，真的有这么长的婚姻吗？
今年96的菲利普亲王于今秋退休，不再出席王室公共事务，女王借这个机会感谢了亲王对他的支持和独特的幽默感(support and unique sense of humor)。
她同时还提到了明年会有新成员加入这个王室家庭，这自然是说哈里王子的未婚妻梅根·马克尔。据报道，梅根·马克尔也会参加王室圣诞活动。这是史上第一次尚未正式嫁入王室的人参加庆典。

互帮互助一直是女王的重要准则。她鼓励王室成员积极参与公共事业并且经常给予公开表扬。
比如，2008年的圣诞致辞：

The Commonwealth has an inspiring way of bringing people together, be it through the Commonwealth Games, which begins in a few months’ time on Australia’s Gold Coast, or through bodies like the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra and Choir, a reminder of how truly vibrant this international family is.
接着，女王展望了2018年。英国将在明年迎来52个英联邦参加的英联邦峰会。同时她还提及这一年，会在澳大利亚举行英联邦的运动会。
她感慨说英联邦这个大家庭依然如此充满生机。

这是一个专有名词。但由于女王不仅是英国女王，也是受到52个英联邦国家认可的王室代表，因此这个词几乎必然出现在她的致辞中就不奇怪了。不过虽然女王感慨英联邦的生机，但事实上，这个机构正在式微。
英联邦(The Commonwealth)前身是英帝国（British Empire），由英国及其自治领土和其它已独立的前殖民地、附属国组成，为人熟知的包括加拿大，澳大利亚，新西兰，还有亚洲的印度。正是女王在位期间，见证了帝国的日渐式微。
英国王室象征性的地位大约是联邦存在的唯一理由，而四年举办一次的英联邦运动会则是维系52个英联邦国家的重要纽带。
Today, we celebrate Christmas, which itself is sometimes described as the festival of the home. Families travel long distances to be together. Volunteers, charities as well as many churches arrange meals for the homeless, those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. 
We remember the birth of Jesus Christ, whose only sanctuary was a stable in Bethlehem. He knew rejection, hardship and persecution. 
And it is Jesus Christ’s generous love and example, which has inspired me through good times and bad. 
Whatever your own experience is this year, wherever and however you are watching, I wish you a peaceful and very happy Christmas. 
最后，女王提到了圣诞节，她说这是一个关于家的节日。家庭重聚，慈善机构还会为无家可归者提供食宿。她还提到了耶稣，并称耶稣鼓舞着她走过了潮起潮落。每一部分演说都没有离开home这个主题。
最后，她祝福大家圣诞节快乐，值得一提的是，女王总是使用happy Christmas而非merry，据说，原因是她不喜欢merry这个词里的微醉的意味。
