the primary reason is that people do not have sufficient time to allocate to activities other than work. The competition at work and study has become more fierce than ever before, which has imposed immense pressure on individuals who have to spend a great amount of time on their work or studying to stand out among their peers. What is more, consumerism has developed into a popular trend in many societies where more and more people focus too much on materialistic belongings and become money-driven while disregarding/ignoring building a strong family bond.

I believe that this trend has brought negative impacts to both individuals and the society. 👇截图,直接用:关系不好，就没有belonging,心情不好

If people seldom have meals with family, the time spent on communicating and interacting with relatives would be reduced, which may make it difficult for them to get along with each other, thus impairing the sense of belonging to the family. Individuals may also feel lonely or even isolated due to this weakening of family ties.👇关系不好,影响social cohesion,修改成相反的意思

Furthermore, if family members no longer feel connected as before, they are less likely to show empathy towards others, resulting in more misunderstanding and conflicts. Therefore, the social cohesion would experience a decline.

As discussed above, the disappearance of family meals is caused by the hectic lifestyle in modern society as well as materialism. This loss of connection to the family would affect the individuals’ emotional well-being and social cohesion.

Some people think a high taxes is necessary because it allows government to have enough for public services. Others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There are conflicting views about whether the government should charge a high tax rate in order to have sufficient money allocated to public services. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument, followed by my own perspective on this matter.

Those who support this statement may think that 抄下面截图的答案 the funding can be used in reducing the costs of public services as well as improving the quality of them. If the money is spent in education and health fields, more people’s illnesses can be cured effectively and they will also be equipped with professional knowledge and skills, increasing the size and the quality of labour force.

Furthermore, this benefit can improve national productivity and the economy. 下面的图,稍微修改一下例子,变成中国收税多了以后.

For example, in China, after the government increased individuals’ tax rate, it enables the government to provide more financial assistance to education and public health, resulting in an increase in people’s quality of life and GDP, which has contributed to the economic growth.

However, for those who disagree with increasing the tax, they can also justify their opinion. 下面截图的意思: 收入增加,人们买东西多,提高生活质量. 我们使用它的反面,收入减少,买东西少,生活质量降低。

is policy would reduce individuals’ disposable income, which may prevent them, especially the already impoverished group, from purchasing a variety of products and they may not enjoy the benefits of many consumer goods, thus, impairing their living standard. Furthermore (继续延伸上面的观点,所以使用furthermore), （继续超截图的内容,人没有钱以后，买东西少,影响经济）this trend would reduce the demand for products and services, which may even cause people to lose jobs and reduce their earnings. These detrimental impacts would create a vicious circle, constantly impeding the economy.

In my opinion, wealthy people should pay more taxes to subsidize public services whereas those living in poverty should pay less taxes because this can compensate the negative impacts mentioned above and promote the well-being of the society.

It is believed that reading books contributes more to imagination and language skills than watching TV. However, my opinion is that, they play an equal role.

For one thing, most books do not have many illustrations , which forces readers to visualise associated scenes and sounds in their minds, practicing their imagination. For example, when we read a fiction book, in order to understand the storyline, most people would form the images of characters: how they look and behave in their minds. For another , most authors use very precise vocabulary, sentence structures and paragraphing to express their ideas. This formal writing style can hone readers’ reading and writing skills.

However, the above argument cannot lead to the conclusion that TV programs are less valuable than books in cultivating imagination and language skills. This is because TV programs can also strenghthen these skills but in different ways. Specifically, 下面的-观点1 电视节目很多神话故事,比如花仙子啊,有很多很扯淡的现实里面没有的东西,这样我们就会被启发,变得更有想象力。some programs , such as cartoons, contain magical scenes which show us a different world. In this world, many activities that are impossible to happen in reality can take place, inspiring audiences to think outside the box and avoid them of being restricted by existing mindsets/status quo, resulting in better imagination.

most TV programs use more easy-to-understand expressions and discuss topics more related to our life, helping us pick up natural expressions and motivate us to practice them in real life situations, which can improve our speaking skills.

As discussed above, books are more beneficial to our ability to read, write and imagine situations related to given contexts whereas TV programs are more conducive to the ability of speaking and imagining abnormal concepts. Therefore, they contribute to our imagination and language skills to the similar degree.
