面试开始之时，你准会听到：
  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Tell us a little about yourself. 
  • Tell something about yourself.
  • Say something about yourself.
  • What would you like me to know about you?
……
等等，以让你进行一番自我介绍。
很多人马上就开始：
我毕业于××大学，
第一份工作是在××公司做××，
第二份工作是在××公司做××，
第三份工作是在××公司做××
……
其实你有没有想过：
面试官明明都有我的简历，为什么还要我进行自我介绍？
面试官当然不希望听到和简历一模一样的内容，如各种名字岗位、工作经历、时间等信息。
首先，你可能花比较长的时间才能把你的经历说完，而很多面试官并没有足够的耐心去仔细听。
其次，如果你每段工作经历都描述一遍，这样没有侧重点，其实很难把自己的亮点表达出来。
看似简单的自我介绍，到底怎么做呢？
我们先应该搞清楚，面试官到底想从你的自我介绍中听到什么？
面试官想听到的，无非是以下三部分内容：
  • Tell me about yourself as a professional. 
  • What’s your strength?
  • How are you going to fit in with the company and provide value?
因此，你的自我介绍应该分别针对这三个问题，分成三部分。
第一部分：概况你的专业背景
直接介绍你的专业经验，如果你曾经在大企业工作过，那不妨抛出你公司的名字为自己加加分。如：
I am a Copywriter with 5+ years of experience working for large advertising companies. I’ve worked with clients including Pfizer, Coca-Cola, and Johnson & Johnson.  
或
I’m an innovative HR manager with 8 years of experience managing all aspects of the HR function — from recruiting to training to benefits — for Fortune 500 companies.
简明扼要。
真的没必要介绍自己的成长经历，如：
“Well, I grew up in Cincinnati. As a child, I originally wanted to be a fireman, then later became interested in dinosaurs. I excelled in the sciences from early on, placing first in my fourth-grade science fair. Funny story about that…”
分享自己的故事是一件好事，但稍安勿躁，等到被录用之后再分享还不迟，你说呢？
第二部分：突出你的竞争力
在过去的经验中，你有没有获得过什么成就呢？介绍那些与目标岗位相关的能力、经验或成就，以突出自己与众不同的地方，如：
I have spent the last six years developing my skills as a customer service manager for Mega company Inc., where I have won several performance awards and been promoted twice. I love managing teams and solving customer problems.
第三部分：解释自己的动机
“你是谁？你从哪里来？你要到哪里去？”这三个哲学上的终极问题，在面试中也逃不过。
面试官同样好奇：
你怎么申请了我们公司的岗位了呢？
我凭什么相信你会安心做这份工作，而不是三分钟热度呢？
所以，自我介绍的最后一部分，打消面试官的疑虑： 
While I enjoyed my previous work, it was commercial. It’s a dream of mine to do work for nonprofit clients. Your company has done some amazing work for nonprofit and NGO clients and I’d loveto switch gears. That’s why I applied for this position.
三个部分都照顾到，那将会是很不错的自我介绍。以下是一个不错的完整模板，仅供参考：
I have more than five years of experience as a technical project manager at top Wall Street companies. Most recently, I led the development of an award-winning new trading platform. I’m aperson who thrives in a fast-paced environment so right now I’m looking for an opportunity to apply my technical experience and my creative problem solving skills at an innovative software company like this one.
所以说，自我介绍真的不需要非常细致地介绍自己的每一个经历每一个项目。如果你都介绍完了，你让面试官待会问你什么问题好呢？
