We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as Admin & Events Assistant.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Admin & Events Assistant will report directly to the Finance Manager and will work closely across all facets of the Chamber. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure to deliver the services. The successful candidate will be a permanent member of AustCham Shanghai's Secretariat, a professional team of 18, delivering exceptional benefits and membership value year-round to more than 400 corporate and individual members.
JOB SUMMARY
  • Responsible for all office administrative work and support of AustCham Shanghai office and Secretariat.
  • Coordinate with Secretariat staff in preparation of meetings.
  • Manage RSVPs and registration for AustCham Shanghai’s events program.
  • Assist with administrative co-ordination of events.
  • Assist with CSR activities including organising meetings, coordinating fundraising activities, etc.
  • Assist with management of Chamber communications platforms.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor degree.
Language: Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
Experience:
  • 1 year working experience is preferred. Previous working experience in China and an understanding of the local market is desirable.
  • Demonstrated interest in Australia/China relations and a solid understanding of the Australian and Chinese business environments
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and respond to new requirements
  • Advanced IT skills including the Microsoft suite of applications
