使徒行传10章
Cornelius was an officer in the Roman army. He lived in a place called Caesarea. He and his family respected God. They weren't Jewish. They were Gentiles.
哥尼流是一名罗马军官，住在该撒利亚。他和他的全家都敬畏上帝。他们并不
是犹太人,而是外邦人。
Cornelius had a vision. An angel told him, "God hears your prayers and knows that you help the poor. Send men to Joppa to bring Peter here." So Cornelius did.
一天,天使在异象中向哥尼流显现，并对他说：“上帝听见了你的祷告，他知道你常常帮助穷苦的人。现在，你要派人到约帕去，请那个名叫彼得的人来。”哥尼流就按照天使的吩咐,派仆人到约帕去。

In Joppa the next day, Peter was on the roof praying. In a vision, a huge sheet came from heaven. It was filled with animals. A voice said, "Kill something, Peter! Eat!" They were animals that Jews weren't allowed to eat. "I can't eat them," Peter replied. "If I say they're all right to eat," the voice replied, "then they're all right."
第二天，仆人们快到约帕的时候，彼得正在房顶上祷告。在异象中，彼得看见一块大布从天上降下,布里面有各种动物。有声音对他说：“彼得，把它们宰了吃吧!” 这些动物都是被犹太人认为不洁净、不可以吃的。所以彼得说：“我不能吃那些东西。”但是那个声音说：“上帝所洁净的，都是可以接纳的。”

That's when Cornelius' messengers arrived. So Peter and some others went with them to Caesarea. Cornelius' house was filled with his friends and family, eager to hear Peter speak.
这时,哥尼流的仆人到了。他们向彼得说明来意后，彼得和几个朋友就跟他们去了该撒利亚。哥尼流请了很多亲戚和朋友到自己家里。他们都急切地想听听彼得要说些什么。

"God showed me, in a vision, that He accepts people from every nation. God sent Jesus to everyone. He is Lord of all. He healed the sick and freed the oppressed." "He was crucified, and then raised from the dead. Everyone who believes in him will be forgiven of their sins." The Holy Spirit came upon them, just like Pentecost. Peter baptized them.
彼得就开口说：“上帝在异象中指示我,各国各民族的人都是上帝所爱的。上帝已经差遣耶稣来拯救每一个信靠他的人。耶稣是所有人的主。他医治病人，使被压迫的人得自由。”“他被钉死在十字架上，第三天从死里复活。凡是相信耶稣的人,上帝都赦免他们的罪。”彼得还在说话的时候，圣灵降临在所有听道的人身上。这些人都开口赞美上帝。彼得就奉耶稣基督的名为他们施洗。
