路加福音8:40-42,49-56
Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, fell at Jesus' feet. "My little girl is dying," he cried. "If You lay Your hands on her, I know that she will live."
睚鲁是一位会堂的主管。一天，他跪在耶稣的脚前，哭泣着求他说：“我的女儿快要死了，如果你按手在她身上，她一定能好起来。”
Pushing through the crowd, they met some men from Jairus' house. "Your daughter is already dead," they said. "Don't be afraid," said Jesus. "Believe, and your daughter will be healed."  They arrived at Jairus' house, and found people weeping for the girl. "Why are you weeping?" Jesus asked. "The girl's not dead. She's only sleeping." The people laughed at Him.
耶稣就穿过拥挤的人群往睚鲁家里去。还在路上时,睚鲁家的仆人来报说：“你的女儿已经死了。” 耶稣却说：“不要怕,只要信，你的女儿必得痊愈。” 他们到了睚鲁的家,看见人们正在为女孩哀哭。耶稣说：“你们为什么哭呢？她不是死了，而是睡着了。” 人们就嘲笑耶稣。
Jesus and three of His disciples, Peter, James, and John, went into the house with Jairus and his wife. The little girl was lying there, just as everyone had said. Jesus took her hand. Then He said, "Stand up, little girl." And she did! She even walked around the room!
耶稣带着彼得、雅各和约翰三个门徒,随着女孩的父母进到屋里去。小女孩一动不动地躺在那里，正如众人所说的那样。耶稣拉着女孩的手，说：“孩子,起来！” 她就起来了！并且可以在屋里走来走去！
Jairus and his wife were amazed! Jesus told them not to tell anyone what He had done. "Now," said Jesus, "I think this girl needs something to eat!"
睚鲁和他妻子非常惊奇！耶稣嘱咐他们不要把这事告诉任何人。然后说：“给孩子准备点东西吃吧！”
