尼希米记1-4；6：15-16；8：1-3；10：28-29
Nehemiah was the cup bearer to King Artaxerxes of Persia. Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem was in ruins and that his friends there were in trouble. He asked God to help them.
尼希米在波斯王亚达薛西的王宫里作酒政，负责为王斟酒和试酒。他听说耶路撒冷的城墙倒塌，他的同胞正在遭受患难，就很悲伤，祈求上帝帮助他们。
God gave Nehemiah the courage to speak to King Artaxerxes. Nehemiah asked if he could go to Jerusalem and help them fix their walls. Artaxerxes agreed. Nehemiah left for Jerusalem.
上帝赐给尼希米勇气去跟亚达薛西王提出请求。尼希米问亚达薛西王，能否允许他回耶路撒冷去，帮助他的同胞重建城墙。亚达薛西王同意了。尼希米便启程去耶路撒冷。

Nehemiah walked around Jerusalem. Things were even worse than he'd heard." This will be a big job," he told the people, "but, with God's help, we can ."
尼希米绕着耶路撒冷视察城墙，发现情况比他听说的更糟。他对众人说：“这将是个巨大的工程，但是，我们靠着上帝的帮助，必能重建这些城墙。”
Everyone worked in families and groups fixing the gates first. They fixed the Sheep Gate, the Fish Gate, the Dung Gate, and the other gates. Then they started rebuilding the walls.
人扪按照家庭和族群，分工合作，首先修建城门。他们修好了羊门、鱼门、粪厂门和其他的门。接着他们开始重建城墙。
First, their enemies laughed. But as the walls grew higher, those enemies prepared to attack. So God's people worked with a tool in one hand and a sword in the other.
起初，敌人嘲笑他们。但是当城墙日渐增高的时候，那些敌人就很恼怒，谋划攻击他们。因此，修建城墙的人一手做工，一手拿兵器，随时准备击退敌人。
After just 52 days, the wall was finished! Ezra, the priest, read God's law to the people. They promised to obey God's law and praised  Him for protecting them.
只用了五十二天，城墙就修好了！祭司以斯拉向百姓们宣读上帝的律法。百姓们发誓要遵守上帝的律法,并且赞美上帝，因为上帝保护他们成功修好了城墙。
