God's people disobeyedHim; so He let theirenemies take them intocaptivity. They destroyedJerusalem and carried awaymany of the Jews to theirown country, Babylon.
以色列人不听从上帝的话,上帝就允许他们的敌人巴比伦人欺负他们。敌人摧毁了耶路撒冷，并将许多犹太人掳到巴比伦。
Daniel was one of the Jewsin Babylon. He trusted Godand prayed to Him threetimes a day. God blessedDaniel, and he became apowerful leader in thatcountry.
但以理是被掳到巴比伦的一名犹太人。他信靠上帝，一天三次向上帝祷告。上帝祝福但以理，使他成为巴比伦很有权力的长官。

Some leaders were jealousof Daniel, so they made anew law. People could onlypray to King Darius.Whoever disobeyed wouldbe thrown into a lions’ den.Darius agreed.Daniel still prayed to Godand was arrested. Dariuswas sad; he liked Daniel. Herealized he'd been trickedbut couldn't change thelaw. Daniel was thrown tothe lions.
巴比伦之后被大流士王占领并统治。有些长官妒忌但以理,于是他们建议，规定人们只许向大流士王祷告,任何人如果违背这条命令就要被扔进狮子坑。大流士王批准了这条禁令。但以理继续向上帝祷告，因此被逮捕了。大流士王很忧愁，因为他很赏识但以理,不想把他扔进狮子坑。他意识到这是个圈套,但又不能撤回自己批准的禁令，只好下令将但以理扔进狮子坑中。
The lions roared and creptup to Daniel. Then an angelarrived! It was God whosent him. The angel shutthe lions' mouths. Danielspent the night there,unharmed.At daybreak, Darius went tosee if Daniel was alive." God sent an angel to save me,"Daniel said. The king wasthrilled. Daniel was pulledout of the den.
狮子吼叫着,一点点逼近但以理。这时一位天使出现了!他是上帝派来的。天使封住了狮子的口。但以理在坑里过了一夜，丝毫没有受到伤害。天亮的时候,大流士王去看但以理是否还活着。但以理说：“我很好！上帝派了一位天使救了我。”大流士王很高兴,吩咐人将但以理从坑里拉上来。

Then King Darius hadDaniel's enemies throwninto the den. The lionsgobbled them up! KingDarius told everyone in hiskingdom to honor Daniel'spowerful, living God.
大流士王下令把当初设圈套陷害但以理的那些人扔进狮子坑中。狮子就把他们吞吃了！大流士王又下令，要求全国人民都要敬畏但以理的上帝，因为他是全能的、永活的上帝。
