中国科学院成都文献情报中心始建于1958年，是中国科学院文献情报系统的主要组成部分，中国科学院高端科技智库的有机组成部分，重点开展信息科技及相关领域、生物科技及相关领域、知识产权战略政策与信息分析评议、区域与产业发展研究与咨询的国家级专业型科技智库，是全方位开展科技信息服务的文献情报机构。中心为情报学、图书馆学硕士培养点，情报学博士培养点。

Brief Introduction
Established in 1958, Chengdu Library andInformation Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)is as an integral part of the library and information system of the CAS. TheCenter functions as one of the high-end science and technology (S&T) thinktanks of the CAS, and a national professional S&T think tank that providescomprehensive S&T information services, and focuses on information researchand policy consultation related to information technology, biotechnology,intellectual property, and regional and industrial development. The Center iscredited, under the auspice of CAS University, to offer masterdegreeprograms in library and information sciences, and doctoral degreeprograms in information sciences.
