简介 Introduction
中国科学院、水利部成都山地灾害与环境研究所（简称“成都山地所”）坐落在美丽的天府之国成都，是以“认知山地科学规律，服务国家持续发展”为战略目标，以山地灾害、山地环境和山区可持续发展为主要研究领域的国立科研机构。
自1966年建所以来，成都山地所结合区位优势、学科特点和学科发展基础，面向国家山区开发和生态环境建设战略需求，积极开展基础性、战略性和前瞻性研究，承担并完成了千余项国家和地方重大科研项目，解决了国家在山区建设和社会发展中的一系列重大科学问题，开创了以山地灾害研究为主导的中国山地研究领域，为我国山地灾害研究与防治、脆弱生态环境恢复与重建、山区可持续发展做出了突出贡献，2015年4月进入中科院“率先行动”计划特色研究所建设首批试点。
目前成都山地所共有在职职工近300人，有中科院院士1人，正高级49人，拥有自然地理学、人文地理学、岩土工程、土壤学、生态学等5个博士培养点，自然地理学等7个学术型硕士培养点，及2个专业型硕士培养点，并设有地理学博士后科研流动站。

The Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, CAS
The Institute ofMountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)which located in the beautiful city Chengdu, is a national academic institutethat focuses on research into mountain hazards, ecology and environment, withthe ultimate goal of supporting the sustainable development of mountainregions. In April 2015, IMHE was designated an Institute for Special Needsunder CAS’s Pioneer Initiative. It remains China’s leading think tank forresearch on mountain surface systems and strives to become a globallyrecognized organization for mountain science.
Since itsestablishment in 1966, IMHE has made great contributions to hazard mitigation,environmental protection and sustainable development in the mountains of China,accomplish over 1,000 research projects and receiving over 150 awards.
There are nearly 300members of staff working at IMHE, including 1 CAS academician, 49 professors,85 associate professors. The institute has one post-doctoral research stationin physical geography, five doctoral programmes and nine master’s programmes.
