中国科学院成都生物研究所成立于1958年，是直属中国科学院的国立学术研究机构。该所长期致力于长江上游地区的“生态环境保育与治理”和“生物资源发掘与利用”研究，内设天然药物与临床转化重点实验室、生态研究中心、应用与环境微生物研究中心、农业生物技术研究中心和两栖爬行动物研究室等5个研究单元。
研究所现有人员350人，其中高级科技人员160余人。拥有植物学、动物学、微生物学、生态学、环境科学、药物化学、药理学、病理学与病理生理学等8个博士学位培养点；拥有植物学、动物学、微生物学、生态学、环境科学、病理学与病理生理学、药物化学、药理学等8个学术型硕士学位培养点；拥有制药工程、生物工程等2个全日制专业学位硕士学位培养点；拥有生物学博士后科研流动站。研究所先后与20多个国家和地区（例如美国、英国、德国、法国、俄罗斯等）的60余个科研机构建立了长期稳定的合作关系。
研究所自建立以来已取得超过300项科研成果，获得100余项国家和省部级奖励。“地奥心血康”等一大批具有自主知识产权的科研成果已成功实现规模产业化，为国民经济建设和科学事业发展做出了突出贡献。

About us
ChengduInstitute of Biology (CIB), founded in 1958, is a public academic institutiondirectly under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). CIB has been working onthe research of "ecological environment conservation and governance"and "biological resources exploration and utilization" in the upper reaches of Yangtze River.CIB now consists of fiveresearch units: They are Key Laboratory of NaturalProducts and Clinical Transformation, Ecology Research Center, Applied andEnvironmental Microbiology Research Center, Agricultural Biotech- nologyResearch Center and Laboratory of Amphibian & Reptile.
CIB has astaff of 350 ,in which including the senior researchers of 160+.CIB has 8 Ph.Dprograms (botany, zoology, microbiology, ecology, environmental science,pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and pathophysiology) and 8 academicmaster’s programs (botany, zoology, microbiology, ecology, environmental science, pathophysiology, phar- maceutical chemistry and  pharmacology), and 2 professional master’sprograms  (pharmaceutical engineering and bioengineering), and 1 post-doctoral station of biology. CIB has developed substantial and solid cooperationwith 60+ universities and scientific research institutions in over 20countries, e.g. US, UK, Germany，France and Russia.
Technological research achievements of CIB haveexceeded 300 ever since its foundation with more than 100 awarded prizesawarded by the province or ministry. Industrialization of many suchachievements featuring Di'ao Xinxue Kang (a medicine for cardiovasculardiseases) has been successfully realized, contributing considerably tosocio-economic development of the country.
