Jerusalem express railway ready

March 30, on eve of Passover, the first journey of the express railway line from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and back (cost $2 billion) will be fully operational; trip time will be 28 minutes. This electric train will travel at speed of 160 km/hr – first 3 month free of charge. The Jerusalem express railway double track line, 56 km in length, will also connect Ben Gurion Airport,Modi'in and Sha'ar HaGai. The train will make some 4 million trips its first year of operation. Test run was successful this week.
