我们是谁？

波士顿风暴（Boston Storm）是一支注册于美东龙舟协会（ERDBA）的竞技龙舟队。在2015年的夏天，一群热爱运动的青年自发组织创建这支队伍。

在过去的九年中，我们从一支业余龙舟队发展成为美国龙舟的顶尖俱乐部队伍之一

：

2019年我们在美国龙舟协会俱乐部全国锦标赛中获得铜牌，成为全国第三名，并获得参加2020年法国俱乐部乘员世界锦标赛的资格（由于COVID取消）
2021年我们在美国龙舟协会俱乐部全国锦标赛中取得全国第四名
2022年代表美国参加全球龙舟协会世界锦标赛，与世界顶级龙舟俱乐部队伍竞技

2022年龙舟协会世界锦标赛

如何报名？入队选拔体能测试

我们的招募活动将于3月23日（周六）和3月31日（周日）中午12点至下午2点举行。

测试项目：

500米和200米划船机测试。

等等，什么是划船机？划船机（pErg）是一种修改过的划船机器，模拟龙舟划水的动作（参考下方影片）。我们的现场教练会在体能测试过程中给你提供指导，让你对这项运动有基本的了解。

测试地点：

Power Rowing (62 Harvard Street, 2nd Floor, Brookline, MA 02445)

着装要求：运动装或舒适的衣服，运动鞋

需携带物品：水，健身手套

会员机制：

波士顿风暴（Boston Storm）是以会员机制运营的龙舟俱乐部，每年的会费是180美元。会员费包含从四月到九月的水上训练所提供的船只，设备，驳船, 保险，器械维护的费用（不包含比赛费用）。我们有丰富经验的教练们，他们都是义务为大家提供指导。我们的水上训练地点在Charlestown Marina。

竞赛之余

在龙舟比赛中的激情竞技之外，我们的队友间也构建了真挚愉快的友谊。在训练和比赛中，我们一起笑，一起挑战自己，一起庆祝胜利。

这种共同的经历不仅加强了我们的团队凝聚力，也让我们之间的关系更加紧密。我们的队员都成为了彼此生活中的好朋友，互相扶持，互相鼓励。无论是在赛场上还是日常生活中，我们都能感受到彼此间温暖而真诚的友情，这正是我们团队最珍贵的财富。

Who are we?

The waves are calling! As the summer sun blazes overhead, Boston Storm Dragonboat Club (previously known as CYPN Storm, website) is looking for paddlers ready to conquer the water! Boston Storm is a club dragon boat team registered with ERDBA (Eastern Regional Dragon Boat Association) based in the Boston area. This team was founded in the summer of 2015 by a group of young professionals who love competitive sports. In the past nine years, we grew from a group of newbie paddlers to one of the top club teams in the country:

Bronze - overall 3rd club team in 2019 Club Crew National Championship; earned berth to 2020 Club Crew World Championships in France (canceled due to COVID)
Top 5 - overall 4th club team in 2021 Club Crew National Championship
Represented the United States to race against world’s top club teams in 2022 Club Crew World Championship

Heading into our 10th season,

our team is looking for:

Paddlers who enjoy being active and want the thrill of competition. No prior experience is required.
Team managers to help with marketing, public relations, or event organizing. Please contact us for more details.

We have limited spots so out of courtesy, if you are not able to come after you have registered, please let us know at least 48 hours before your trial time.

Test: 500m and 200m pErg tests.

○ Wait, what’s pErg? pErg (paddling erg) is a modified paddling machine that simulates the motion of dragon boat paddling.

○ We will provide coaching at the try-outs. You can refer to the video on what to expect.

●Location: Power Rowing (62 Harvard Street, 2nd Floor, Brookline, MA 02445)

●What to wear: Definitely not jeans! Wear a gym outfit or something comfortable. It’s also best to wear sneakers.

● What to bring: Water. Gym gloves are optional.

If you are selected, members will pay an annual membership fee of

$180

for all water practices from mid-April until the end of September. We are a non-profit organization. Membership covers dock rental, boat, and equipment (our coaches, board members and helpers are all volunteers).
