来自广东的著名摇滚乐队五条人即将以“Canton Express”之名开启他们的美国巡演。

11月24日——12月2日，他们将在波士顿、纽约、西雅图、旧金山、洛杉矶，进行六场演出。

11月26日下午，耶鲁大学还将举办一场名为《广东快车：五条人与全球在地化浪潮》的学术讲座。

“Canton Express”可以是中式快餐之名，也可以是艺术行动之名。

或许，这是一支广东摇滚乐队在流行文化和当代艺术之间，所创造的全球流散和游击的节奏。

从Canton Pop到Canton Folk到Canton Rock，五条人始终是“全球本土”的土特产，是“全球南方”的南方恋曲。

五条人是上世纪末港台劲歌金曲的变种再生，是打口一代对欧美摇滚的反刍和逆袭。

五条人曾经带着Tom Waits在海丰的街头炒港纸，带着Frank Zappa在广州的高架桥上飞驰，

而现在，他们一路

吹吹打打，

高歌猛进，

抬着曹操，

抬着古代的将军，

抬着老祖公，

漂洋过海，

来看看美国的一些风景，

也成为美国的一些风景。

五条人乐队由仁科和茂涛创立于 2008 年，迄今为止出版过 9 张专辑。

Wu Tiao Ren's logo is a red plastic bag. This bag drifts across the Pacific, soaring through the American skies.

'Canton Express' can be Chinese fast food or a wild artistic creation. It is perhaps like a guerrilla rhythm cooked up by a Guangdong rock band that has released nine albums, seamlessly blending pop culture and contemporary art while making its mark on the global stage.

From Canton Pop and Canton Folk to Canton Rock, Wu Tiao Ren has been a local gem within glocalization, expressing the southern romance of the 'global south.' Their songs are a mashup and revival of pop songs from late 20th-century Hong Kong and Taiwan, reflecting and renewing the vibe of Anglo-American rock＆roll music through the lens of the Chinese cut-out generation. Wu Tiao Ren exchanged Hong Kong dollars on the streets of Haifeng, while Tom Waits' tunes filled the air. They sped along the Guangzhou highway with Frank Zappa blaring. Now they journey forth, carrying the spirits of Cao Cao, ancient Chinese generals and their ancestors, singing their hearts out. They are crossing the seas to catch some American scenery, and they are becoming part of America's scenery themselves.

So, who they are? Well, Wu Tiao Ren, they are just ... Wu Tiao Ren.Thay are coming.
