就在刚刚，转小家有了一个重磅发现。西北大学申请文书不再要求common application的文书，取而代之的是300字的西北大学自己设计的问题。
官网明确表示西北大学不再硬性要求申请者完成common application申请系统或是Coalition申请系统的申请文书，而是需要申请者完成西北大学自己提供的问答题。
另外官网也表示，如果你已经完成了common application的文书，可以在原有的基础上适当的修改一下作为西北大学问答题的答案。
当然如果你觉得在必答题环节没有完全的展示出自己的特质以及闪光点，也可以选择提交common application的文书作为附加文书。
必答题（300字）
We want to be sure we’re considering your application in the context of your personal experiences: What aspects of your background, your identity, or your school, community, and/or household settings have most shaped how you see yourself engaging in Northwestern’s community, be it academically, extracurricularly, culturally, politically, socially, or otherwise?

Painting “The Rock” is a tradition at Northwestern that invites all forms of expression—students promote campus events or extracurricular groups, support social or activist causes, show their Wildcat spirit (what we call “Purple Pride”), celebrate their culture, and more.
