Hello, Hedegaard. Can you introduce yourself to ravers in China?

中国的 Ravers 你们好吗？我是来自斯堪的纳维亚的音乐制作人，我创作音乐已经十二年了。

What's up Ravers in China?I'm a Scandinavian DJ, a music producer,I’ve been doing it for twelve years now.

我们都知道你的职业⽣涯始于夜店，在此之前你有专⻔学习过⾳乐吗？

We know you started your career in nightclubs, have you studied music before?

当我还是个孩子的时候，我爸爸教给我如何弹钢琴，然后我在年轻的时候一直学习钢琴，我大部分时间都在弹古典钢琴，然后我在不同的乐队演奏，并开始自己学习电子音乐，除了钢琴课，我是自学成才的。

So I've been playing classical piano for most of my life, and then I played in different bands and just started to study electronic music myself, So beyond piano lessons, I'm self-taught

Question

你最近发⾏了⼀⾸新歌《BOARD》，在⾳乐制作的过程中，你遇到了什么有趣的事情吗？

You recently released a new single "BOARD", Did you encounter anything interesting in the

process of music production?

我的大部分音乐都比较沉重，基本上是夜店类型的音乐，以沉重的音调和简单的人声为基础，我真的很想做加入更多流行声乐的歌曲，就是那种你可以跟着唱的声乐部分，我的新单曲《Board》混合了动听的声乐，然后是更贪婪、更深沉的电子音乐世界。

So most of my music is pretty heavy,It's pretty nightclub based, based around the heavy drops and simple vocals,So I really wanted to do a track with more pop vocals, like vocals you can sing along to,So my new single Board is kind of a mix of the nice vocals that you can sing along to and then the more greedy, deep electronic universe.

如果有⼀个理由让你必须推荐这⾸新歌给中国的Raver们，它会是什么？

If there is only one reason why you must recommend this new song to Chinese Ravers, what is that?

我邀请你们来听我的新单曲《Board》，因为对我来说，它听起来与其他的音乐不同，它是夜店乐曲和流行音乐的混合体，我感觉它脱颖而出，与寻常的乐曲很不一样。

I think you should check out my new single <Board>, because it's, to me, it sounds different than what's out there, It's a mix of club and pop, and to me, it feels like it stands out from what's out there.

你的单曲《All Designer》在QQ⾳乐得到了排⾏榜第⼀，似乎中国的Raver很喜欢你的⾳乐⻛格，对此你有什么想法？

Your single <All Designer> got No. 1 on QQ Music, it seems that Chinese ravers like your music style very much, what do you think about this?

我第一次听说《All Designers》在 QQ 音乐上排名第一时，我大吃一惊，高兴得像疯了一样，而且，我离中国太远了，但我总是听说中国，好像我的梦想成真了，这是一场从这里开始的冒险，我迫不及待地想去中国。

So when I 1st heard that All Designers went number one on QQ Music, I was blown away, completely insane, And, it's so far away, China, but you hear about it all the time, so it's just a dream come true, So when I 1st heard that All Designers went number one on QQ Music, I was blown away, completely insane, It's an adventure that starts here, and I can't wait to go there

作为⼀个从社交媒体与视频⽹站上⽕爆起来的⾳乐⼈，你认为如今的互联⽹对于⾳乐⼈的改变是正向的吗？

As a musician who has become popular on social media and video websites, do you think that the Internet today has a positive impact on musicians?

我认为互联网对音乐人有着非常积极的影响，因为在互联网出现之前，你必须通过别人来发行你的音乐，比如你必须签约唱片公司，你必须通过这一关，但现在每个人都可以上传自己的音乐，没有障碍了，现在只有音乐是最重要的，如果你真的足够有天赋，你就不需要其他任何东西，你就可以火起来。

I think that the Internet has a very positive effect on musicians, because before the Internet, you had to know somebody to get your music out, like you had to be signed to a record label, and you had to get through this gateway, But now everybody can upload their own music, So it's not about the gatekeepers anymore, Now it's just about the music, So if you're truly talented enough, you don't really need anything else, You can get there.

短视频在世界范围内的⽕热，让爆⽕的视频配乐也得到了关注，你认为这对今后⾳乐⼈会有什么影响？

The popularity of short videos around the world has also attracted attention to the popular video soundtrack. How do you think it will affect musicians in the future?

我很清楚，短视频已经改变了音乐市场，因为如果你的音乐在抖音上热度很高，那么你就有了巨大的优势，现在更重要的是视频在网上的热度，我认为这可能会对音乐产生负面影响，因为这会让音乐家们思考这一点，也许他们现在比以前更用心地创作音乐，谁知道呢？也许这很快就会产生反作用，也许人们又重新喜欢起更长的音乐，获得更持久的关注度，我们拭目以待吧。

It's definitely clear to me that the short videos has changed the music market a lot, ‘coz if your music goes viral on the Tiktok, Douyin, then you just have a huge advantage, So it's more about the videos going viral now than it was earlier, I think it could affect the music in a negative way, because that makes musicians think about this, So maybe they make music more with their brains now than before, who knows? Maybe that's a counteraction soon, where people want that longer music and longer attention again, We'll see.

可不可以透露⼀下，你未来有没有来到中国进⾏巡演的打算？

Do you have any plans to tour China in the future?

我非常兴奋地宣布我现在要去中国了，7 月，我将去往三个中国城市，我们仍在等待宣布这一计划，然后我想我八月也会去旅行，能够来到你们身边，能够为你们演奏，我太激动了，太令人兴奋了，我都等不及了。

So I'm extremely excited to announce that I'm going to China now, In July, I'm going to, I think, three Chinese cities, and we're still waiting to be able to announce that, And then I think I have a trip in August as well, So this is so exciting for me to come to you and be able to play for you guys, That's so exciting, Can't wait.

你对与你⼀样正在⽹络上发布⾃⼰⾳乐的⾳乐⼈们有什么话想说？可以分享⼀些成功的秘诀吗？

What do you want to say to the musicians who are publishing their music on the internet like you? Can you share some secrets of success?

我可以和今天想要通过互联网获得成功的音乐家们分享的一个秘诀是，你永远不应该在质量上妥协，因为虽然现在听音乐很容易，但人们仍然想要质量，所以一定要慢慢做音乐，让它在任何其他环境中听起来都一样完美，慢慢欣赏艺术作品、歌词、宣发和视频，如果你真的相信这条音轨，那就一直这样精心对待它。

One secret I can share with musicians who want success through the Internet today, is that you should never compromise on the quality, because just because it's easy to get to music out there, and people still want quality, So take your time with the music, Make it sound perfect like you would in any other setting, Take your time with the artwork, the lyrics, promotion, the videos, If you really believe in the track, go all the way and treat it like that.
