瓦格纳叛乱！外媒报道中，这个3个词反复出现

这个周末，在俄乌冲突中打了很多硬仗的瓦格纳，搞了场一日游的叛乱，引起了全世界媒体铺天盖地的报道。

在这些报道中，不管是欧美的媒体，还是俄罗斯的英文媒体RT，对这件事的定性基本上是一致的，即这是一场叛乱。

报道往往会反复提到叛乱，所以，可能是为了避免重复，会使用不同的英语单词来指代这场叛乱，比较常见的有3个词。

第一，用的最多的是insurrection。我们来看一下路透社的报道：

俄罗斯英文媒体RT在报道中也多次用了armed insurrection。

insurrection的定义是violent action that is taken by a large group of people against the rulers of their country, usually in order to remove them from office，即一大群人反对统治者，试图将其赶下台的暴力行动，常译作暴动，叛乱。

第二个用得比较多的词是mutiny，对应的发动mutiny的人就是mutineer。

路透社在报道中用了mutiny：

the criminal case opened against Prigozhin for armed mutiny would be dropped

针对普里戈任武装叛变的刑事案件将被撤销

RT的报道用了

mutineer

：

He described the mutineers’ actions as “backstabbing” and called for unity.

他将叛乱分子的行为描述为“背后捅刀子”，并呼吁团结一致。

mutiny的意思是a refusal by people, usually soldiers or sailors, to continue obeying a person in authority，即士兵或水手拒绝服从上级命令，常译为兵变，哗变。

mutiny和insurrection都能指叛乱，但区别在于前者主要指由士兵发起叛乱，而后者没有这个意思。

backstab这个词很形象，意思是unkind and disloyal actions or remarks that are likely to harm someone such as a friend or colleague，即可能伤害朋友或同事的恶意背叛行为或言论，直译为背后捅刀子似乎更加生动，贴切。

第三个用的比较多的词是rebellion。路透社和RT都用了rebellion一词，下面是来自路透的报道：

In a televised address, Putin said the rebellion put Russia's very existence under threat.

普京在电视讲话中表示，叛乱使俄罗斯的生存受到威胁。

rebellion指的是a violent organized action by a large group of people who are trying to change their country's political system，即一大群人试图改变政治体制的有组织暴力行动。参与rebellion的叛乱分子叫做rebel。

通过上面的解释，我们可以发现rebellion和insurrection的意思比较接近，但稍有不同。前者反对的是体制，后者反对的是个人。

除了上面的3个词，coup和revolt也在外媒的相关报道中出现过。有兴趣的可以查一下英英词典，虽然都可以指这场叛乱，但意思还是有些差别的。
