Design and implement our simulator that is used across the company to test the AV software. Extend its functionality, improve usability, and increase performance.
Write technical design documents to describe architecture changes, implement framework features, and create authoring, helper and debugging tools
Partner with System Test Engineers and AV engineering teams to design and implement new features

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related technical field
Experience writing clean, fast, and reliable software in C++ or Python
Strong 2D and/or 3D math skills
Expert knowledge in designing, building and deploying large-scale distributed systems
Ability to communicate clearly across teams of developers and other staff
Passion for self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with other teams to define the system level architecture and strategies for implementation.
Initiate large cross team projects with sophisticated architecture, breaking it down to the right logical components and co-ordinate execution of the project with the TPMs/Managers
Improve and deliver reliable software through requirements generation, design and code reviews, continuous integration, automated testing and issue monitoring.
Work with management to drive the technical direction of the Frameworks Organization
Adopt, drive and encourage standard methodologies within the team and the rest of the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in CS, or equivalent real world experience (must have education listed for US immigration work visa eligibility assessment)
Experience building performance critical systems in C++ 11 or Newer
Self motivation and passion, with the desire to constantly improve

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or similar field
A passion for safe, fully electric, self-driving technology and its upcoming impact on the world.
A passion for learning new technology every day in a company with many, possibly unfamiliar, cross-discipline skill sets ranging from assembly line auto manufacturing to the intricacies of data transmission over unreliable networks.
You are product and customer-minded, keeping a tight loop with internal users of fleet management services, actively seeking out requirements, and adapting engineering designs to align with evolving needs.
You have built scalable backend APIs using Node.js, Go, or similar languages
You have worked with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and caching services (e.g. Redis)
You have experience with containerized platforms (docker, kubernetes, etc.) and/or microservice-based architectures and common cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure
