Position Summary
 We are looking for motivated interns with international experience and a strong understanding the Chinese language and culture to assist with our projects and initiatives in the Asian / China markets. You will work directly with our Managing Director in charge of foreign investment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identified the needs and goals for next generation product development from function to aesthetics as world's largest automotive glass OEM supplier, customers include General Motor, Honda, and BMW
  • Used CAD software to perform mechanical engineering duties throughout various stages of the product design process to develop new products and optimize manufacturing processes, applied knowledge in mechanical engineering concepts and lean manufacturing processes, including GD&T, FEA simulation and 6 Sigma
  • Performed project management duties utilizing APQP guidelines, prepared APQP documentation including DFMEA, process flow chart, PFMEA and control plan
  • Used CATIA to create and modify new product designs; checked 3D designs and validated the DFM (Design for Manufacturability) for tooling, fixture and EOAT
  • Collaborated with mold design engineers and mold suppliers to develop molds and hot runner systems for injection molds through the design of mold flow simulations and made mold modification plans
  • Worked with the engineering team to develop and optimize manufacturing processes by: modifying parameters for automation production lines; designing process flow charts, control plan and work instructions; optimizing production line layouts and testing injection molding machines
Desired Minimum Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of ERP, MRPII systems required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles required.
  • Excellent computer software skills, MS Excel, access, project etc.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
